We've three best bets for Wednesday's clash in north London.

Raheem Sterling features in our Arsenal v Bolton betting tips

Fresh off their heart-breaking draw with Manchester City at the weekend, Arsenal have to dust themselves down and go again as they enter the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night. Mikel Arteta’s men take on League One opposition in Arsenal v Bolton at The Emirates.

The Gunners are huge favourites but how much with Arteta rotate? Our tipster Colin Harvey attempts to work out who’s going to play and how it’s all going to pan out in the League Cup third round.

Arsenal v Bolton tips

Arsenal (-1)
Raheem Sterling anytime assist
Maldini Kacurri to score

WHEN: Wednesday 25th of September, 7.45pm
WHERE: Emirates Stadium, London
TV: Sky Sports+

Handicap Betting: Arsenal -1

After three consecutive away days Arsenal head into the first of four home matches on the bounce with the visit of League One’s 18th-best side Bolton Wanderers. It’s early days in the English football season, of course, but it’s not gone to plan so far for the Trotters who finished third in the third tier last year.

They might show up here, and surely Arsenal will make plenty of changes with Leicester heading to the capital on Saturday, but it’s hard to think Bolton have got a cat in hell’s chance of even taking this to penalties. The Gunners have decent strength in depth now and their changed XI could include the likes of Gabriel Jesus and Raheem Sterling.

This could be a big win for the hosts but we’ll play it safe with our first best bet in this game and suggest Arsenal (-1). Bolton have shipped 11 goals in six League One games so it would be a surprise if Arsenal don’t get a few.

Mikel Arteta

Raheem Sterling anytime assist

Of all the players who could start for Arsenal here, Raheem Sterling may be the most keen to make an impact. The Chelsea loanee was bombed out of Stamford Bridge and has played just 27 minutes for the Gunners since joining at the end of the summer window.

This will surely be constant pressure from the Premier League side and Sterling will be looking to use his quick feet and pace to get in any spaces that appear. He’s a good bet to score but, at the bigger price, Sterling to assist anytime might be a smart play.

Maldini Kacurri to score

We’ll finish with a bit of a flyer and it’s Maldini Kacurri to score. Arsenal will likely rest their excellent centre back pairing of William Saliba and Gabriel for this game and Kacurri was an unused sub against City on Sunday so could be the man to step in.

The Gunners have been brilliant at set pieces for a while and they’ve been a vital weapon. While Kacurri can’t be expected to be as dangerous as the first-choice pair, Arsenal should get a few corners and the centre back might be able to capialise on one of them.
