Things seem to be going so well at Chelsea that the team, and not boardroom shenanigans, are grabbing the headlines for a change.
The Blues have only lost twice this season, one loss being to Man City so we can’t be to harsh, and they’ll still be flying high on confidence after their 0-3 mauling of West Ham on Saturday afternoon.
Barrow are top of League Two, with 16 points after seven matches, but this is mostly due to their home form. Of their three away games this season, they’ve won two but have only scored three times.
Chelsea have kept two clean sheets over their last two games, they can make it three from three here.
Christopher Nkunko anytime goalscorer
Nicolas Jackson has rightly begun to start winning over his detractors with his four goals in five in the Premier League already this season. Let’s not forget he scored 15 last time around, although Cole Palmer’s displays grabbed the headlines, as the former Man City player scored a mammoth 25 goals in all competitions.
Jackson will almost certainly be sitting this one out, with Christopher Nkunku coming in to take his place. Pedro Neto and Joao Felix will probably start, too. Chelsea will have an awful lot of the ball and Nkunku’s already scored twice in the Conference League and once in the Premier League. We think he’ll be adding to his tally here.
Man City v Watford

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is sure to ring in the changes for his Tuesday night clash with Watford.
City won’t be too phased about taking on the Hornets. Since they annihilated them 6-0 to win the FA Cup back in 2019 they’ve played four more times, City have won all four, scoring 20 goals, conceding just two.
We expect Phil Foden to start here, he’s only play 64 minutes of football this season, coming on as a substitute against Chelsea in mid-August and replacing Jeremy Doku on the 70th minute mark in Sunday’s 2-2 draw with Arsenal.
We saw Foden excel in the absence of Kevin De Bruyne last season, and he’s the type of player who’s always eager to impress. Erling Haaland is unlikely to start here, so if we see Foden lining up at the top of the midfield positions, he’s likely to be among the goalscorers.

Of their four home games this season, Man City have conceded four goals in three of them, keeping a clean sheet against Inter in the Champions League.
Guardiola’s side have played eight competitive games this season, yes, we’re including the Community Shield, and have conceded in six of those eight fixtures. We’ll surely see a change in goal and a back four where we’re likely to see a few changes too.
Watford have scored in all but one of their games this season, scoring a respectable 17 goals over their eight matches. Away from home, they’ve netted four over their three on their travels.
Granted, they have a terrible record when taking on City, but they’ve scored in three of their last four visits to the Etihad. With City conceding so many this season and with a heavily rotated side togging out, there’s good value here in backing goals from both sides.
Walsall v Leicester

Walsall are in decent nick of late. They’ve won three, drawn one, winning it on penalties, and lost one over their last five fixtures.
The hosts have played six home games this season in all competitions, winning five and drawing one, winning it on penalties, and they’ve scored a respectable 10 goals over those six games, conceding five.
Leicester needed a late goal from Stephy Mavididi to save their blushes at home to Everton on Saturday. They’ve not in the best of shape of late, they’ve won just one of their last five games, and that was a 4-0 thrashing of Tranmere Rovers in the same competition.
The good news however is that they’re scoring plenty of goals, netting 10 goals over their six games this season. With both teams among the goals then, the value here is in backing both teams to score.
