Carabao Cup action returns on Tuesday night with the Premier League’s big boys entering the picture (although, erm, most of those are playing next week due to European games this week).

Our tipster James Walters has a tidy acca for you lucky lot as there’s numerous games to get stuck into.

And, since this is a five-fold acca, we’re covered by Paddy’s Acca-Cracker betting offer, so should one leg let you down, you get your stake back!

Carabao Cup Football Accumulator Tips

7:30pm: Stoke v Fleetwood Town – Both Teams to Score
7:45pm: Brentford v Leyton Orient – Brentford -1
7:45pm: Preston v Fulham – Fulham to Win
7:45pm: QPR v Crystal Palace – Crystal Palace to Win
7:45pm: Everton v Southampton – Both Teams to Score

Stoke v Fleetwood TownBoth Teams to Score

Stoke of the Championship host League Two’s Fleetwood Town on Tuesday night as Charlie Adam returns to his old stomping ground.

The home side, who beat Middlesbrough 5-0 on the road in the second round, will fancy their chances of booking their place in the next round despite their below-par start to the campaign, which cost manager Steven Schumacher his job.

Stoke have lost three of their five league outings so far but a dominant win against Fleetwood, who have won two, drawn two and lose one of their five League Two games, could kickstart their season.

While the home side will likely get the job done, we’re instead siding with Both Teams to Score. Even if caretaker bosses Alex Morris and Ryan Shawcross make numerous changes to the team, they should get on the scoresheet. Fleetwood, meanwhile, have scored in six of their last eight games.

Brentford v Leyton OrientBrentford -1

While a Premier League side at home to a League One team could be a potential banana skin, we can’t see anything but a convincing Brentford victory against Leyton Orient.

Thomas Frank’s side have won two and lost two of their first four Premier League games and they’ll be desperate for a cup run this season.

They’ve got the perfect opportunity to book their place in the fourth round with Leyton Orient losing four of their first five league outings.

Even if Frank rings the changes, Brentford’s back-up stars will have too much quality for the opposition. It’s not worth backing them to win at the odds, so we’re siding with them on the -1 Handicap, meaning we need the home side to win by two or more goals.

Preston v FulhamFulham to Win

Fulham won relatively comfortably at League One’s Birmingham in the last round and they’ll be hoping for more of the same against Preston.

Marco Silva’s side, who looked set to beat West Ham on Saturday before Danny Ings’ 95th-minute equaliser, are unbeaten in their last four games in all competitions.

They travel to a Preston side who have won just one of their five Championship outings to leave them one point above the bottom three.

Preston have scored just three times in those five games and Fulham’s quality should shine through at Deepdale Stadium. Let’s keep it simple and go with an away win.

QPR v Crystal PalaceCrystal Palace to Win

Crystal Palace, who were tipped by many to impress this season after ending the last campaign in fine form, hammered Norwich 4-0 in the second round of the Carabao Cup but the Eagles are still searching for their first Premier League win.

They’ve drawn two and lost two of their four games, with Jean-Philippe Mateta’s 92nd-minute penalty snatching a point against Leicester on Saturday.

The trip to Championship side QPR could come at the perfect time as Palace look to find a bit of form.

QPR, who edged past Luton on penalties in the last round, have won just one of their first five league games, with Marti Cifuentes’ men drawing three of those outings.

They’ve conceded eight times so far in the league and that defence will be tested by Palace’s attack, even if Oliver Glasner makes plenty of changes. Palace to Win is our next pick!

Everton v SouthamptonBoth Teams to Score

It’s been a dismal start to the season for Everton, with the Toffees losing all four of their league games while conceding 13 times in that period. They’ve blown consecutive 2-0 leads and gone on to lose 3-2 against Bournemouth and Aston Villa to leave them bottom of the table.

Everton have been terrible and Southampton haven’t been much better, with the Saints losing their four games to leave them in 19th on goal difference.

Sean Dyche’s side beat Doncaster 3-0 in the last round, while Southampton beat Cardiff 5-3. Both of these teams could relish a break from the Premier League and we’re staying away from picking a winner. That leads us to Both Teams to Score.
