There’s Sundays and then there’s Super Sundays. Any Premier League Sunday with a North London Derby certainly falls into the latter bracket.
Our new superstar signing Joe Cole is here to offer his esteemed verdict on who’s taking the bragging rights in the UK capital north of the river. First up on Sunday is Tottenham v Arsenal but there’s more because there’s also the interesting Wolves v Newcastle tussle in the latter slot of 4.30pm.

This is a test for this Arsenal squad and their manager. We’ve not really seen them go through an injury crisis, you look at the two centre halves and they have played consistently together. You can say that for a lot of elements of their team.
They need to come through this and keep nicking points so that they can come good later on in the season.
I think it will be a draw but Tottenham might be in the ascendency, I don’t think Arsenal are the favourites.
Martin Odegaard and Declan Rice are so vital to them, how does Mikel Arteta line up with them out, which way does he go? Thomas Partey will certainly be in there, he’s had a good start to the season. Tottenham have been very, very unlucky in a few of their games this season.
If Rice and Odegaard were playing I’d back Arsenal, but as they’re both missing I’m going for a 2-2 draw. I can’t quite back Spurs to win but I’ve backed Arsenal for the league.
Cristian Romero’s always a belter for a booking, doesn’t matter if it’s late or early in the game he just plays on the front foot and I love him as a defender but that’s a booking bet right there – Romero in a north London derby!
Wolves v Newcastle

Gary O’Neil’s done a fantastic job at Wolves and Eddie Howe’s in a tough spot here because he would have gone to Newcastle and thought this was the time where they would have been able to really spend the money. They haven’t, they’ve had to adjust.
Eddie’s done a great job but going to Wolves is always tough. I’m going to go with a 3-1 away win for Newcastle though. I do worry for Wolves this season.
I think he’ll turn it around, Gary O’Neil, in January they may have to go out and spend some money and that will really help him with his squad. I just think this Newcastle team can go there and get a result.
Anthony Gordon was fantastic for England in the last break. He’s a different option to Jack Grealish on the left-hand side.
Grealish is more of a No.10 who wants to come and play deep but Gordon’s all about penetration and running in behind. He’s a real threat and I’m really pleased for him.
Him and Alexander Isak bring the firepower to Newcastle and Eddie just needs to bolster what’s behind them a little bit more. They’ve got goal threats and that’s why I fancy Newcastle. I’ll have Gordon to score as well.
