Spurs’ start to the season has been a bit frustrating. There have been some spells of really good football where they’ve dominated the games against Newcastle and Leicester, but they couldn’t sustain it for the full 90 minutes and ended up dropping points.

They’ve given silly goals away in those games too and obviously they can’t give opportunities up against the quality of Arsenal or they’ll get punished.

The frustration is that Spurs are more than capable of winning these kind of games, and they can play just as good football as Arsenal in my view. Spurs see themselves around the top four and I still fancy them for it as they’ve got the ability, I just don’t think they can’t quite challenge Arsenal or City or even Liverpool at the very top yet.

You just feel like they’re going to concede goals, and that makes it really difficult against a team as strong defensively as Arsenal.

Set-pieces are an issue too. They’re feel like Vicario’s kryptonite. It’s an issue and something Spurs need to work on.

But the bigger frustration I get from Spurs fans is it’s all attack all the time – it’s the complete opposite to how things were under Antonio Conte. If they keep throwing men forward, it’s exciting and it’s great for the neutral, but look at the pace of Arsenal and and how good they are if you leave space behind. Bukayo Saka’s unplayable at times when he’s left one on one.

In contrast, Arsenal just seem to be able to get the job done, don’t they?

I was at the Brighton game and they were down to ten men and got the point. Brighton’s a tough game, they’ve got good players and they’re difficult to play against, especially with a sending off that kind of killed the game for Arsenal.

Martin Odegaard’s injury is not ideal. He’s a key man for Arsenal and will be a big miss, and then there’s Declan Rice’s suspension as well.

But, going forward, Bukayo Saka’s obviously crucial. He’s got a great relationship with Kai Havertz and we see how well they link up. Defensively, they’re so sound too and they can build on that even if they’ve to make changes in midfield.

Arsenal to win

And Mikel Arteta’s side just have a nice habit of nicking points when they need to and I thought they would’ve shaded it against Brighton if Rice was still on the pitch.

That’s a nice habit to have, whereas Tottenham have the unfortunate habit of playing really well but not getting the results they probably deserve.

And I think it’ll be the the same again on Sunday, sadly. Spurs are at home, the crowd will be up for it and the changes forced on Arsenal give you some hope. I don’t think it’ll be all Arsenal but I just can’t see them getting beaten and think they’ll edge it in the end.

Bukayo Saka to have 1+ shots on target

Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz are on fire at the moment. I love that combination. They both seem likely to score on Sunday, but a shot on target for the England winger is a no-brainer.

Son Heung-Min to have 1+ shots on target

Solanke is expected back and Kulusevski could be in the starting team and likes a shot as well, but Son is the biggest the biggest danger for Spurs and I’ll take him to have a shot on target as well.

Thomas Partey to commit 1+ fouls

It’s a derby, you’d expect it to be spicy and Thomas Partey usually gives up a few fouls in regular Premier League games, so it makes sense to back him for a foul here.
