Callum O’Hare to have 1+ Shot on target

Callum O’Hare established himself as a top Championship performer from his time at Coventry City and slowly but surely Sheffield United are starting to see the best of him after arriving this summer. He played a major part in creating the only goal in the 1-0 home victory against a then unbeaten Watford last time, and is starting to form good on-field relationships with Gustavo Hamer and Kieffer Moore.

Naturally he’s needed some time to get fit, as practically every other player will do at this part of the season, but he is starting to crank it up. No doubt the 26-year-old will have used the international break to get even sharper and will be like a caged animal wanting to get back on the pitch. With Moore having been away with Wales, O’Hare will be the fresher of the two forwards, and his tricky movement will give Hull, who are trying to settle in several new signings, something to think about defensively.

Gustavo Hamer to have 1+ Shot on target

Seeing top players leave after relegation from the Premier League is generally the norm for clubs in those circumstances, but Sheffield United managing to keep hold of Gustavo Hamer was a huge boost. It was Hamer’s exploits at this level with Coventry City that earned him a move to Chris Wilder’s side and early season indications look towards him impressing in the Championship again. Wilder has given him a free role in the starting XI and he is flourishing.

Having that kind of responsibility clearly is something the Brazilian-born midfielder thrives under and he can be expected to have a big attacking influence on Friday night. In league action, he is averages 3.75 shots on target this season and has helped himself to two goals in the process. This man needs no invitation to get shots away and is one of the go-to men in the final third for the visitors.

Chris Bedia to have 1+ Shot on target

One of several recent recruits snapped up by Hull is striker Chris Bedia, who looks to be the man Tim Walter has identified to lead their attack moving forward. The former Union Berlin star already has a few matches under his belt since joining, but the more he plays the fitter he’ll become, so the best is surely still to come. Two matches in and both of his shots hit the target, giving him something to build on.

He started the last game v Leeds, in his first competitive start since last December. He also will have benefited from the international break to boost his condition, but he is a striker that simply wants to play and will feel as though he has something to prove.

Oliver Arblaster to have 1+ Shot on target

Wilder has shown big faith in 20-year-old Oliver Arblaster, so much so he now regularly wears the captain’s armband. He was another linked with a move away prior to the deadline, but the Sheffield-born youngster is staying for now, much to the delight of Blades supporters. Prior to this season he only had two league goals to his name, but four matches into 2024/25 he’s already matched that. Being handed more of a licence to attack is seemingly showcasing another side to his game.

With Vinicius Souza adopting the midfield anchor role, it is allowing his partner to get forward more frequently and he has done a pretty good job so far. He recorded a shot on goal in all bar one league clash, and the fact he’s played a full match every time, further enhances his claims of firing in at least one shot over 90 minutes. Only Plymouth and Portsmouth have had more shots against their goal than Hull, so Arblaster should have his chances.
