Nothing says football’s back better than a League Two clash on the telly on Thursday night. Oh yes, it’s Harrogate Town v Doncaster who boldly signal the return of domestic football.

Doncaster to Win
While Harrogate have a pretty good record against their Yorkshire neighbours since entering the EFL, they could be in line for a bit of a spanking here. The Sulphurites are unbeaten in four games over the last two seasons against Donny, winning three of those.
However, this season the hosts have started slowly while Rovers are top of the pile with four wins from five games. Harrogate are down in 20th and have won one, drawn one and lost three with two of those coming in their two home games this season.
Town have scored four goals in their five games with three of them coming in one game, a game they still failed to win away at Accrington. Doncaster have scored 10 already and they should have enough to prevent history from repeating itself.
Over 3.5 Goals
Despite Harrogate’s poor form in front of goal this could be an entertaining game with a fair bit of action. Doncaster are far from watertight, especially on the road.
They’ve conceded six in five with five of those coming in their two away games. We’ve already touched on their 10 goals scored this season while the hosts have conceded seven in five.
Both of Donny’s away games have crossed the over 3.5 goals benchmark with nine goals flying in over the 180 minutes. We might need Harrogate to play ball as well but over 3.5 goals is a nice price.
Luke Molyneux to score first
If we’re anticipating a few goals then Luke Molyneux is a good bet to open the scoring. The Doncaster hitman has four goals and two assists in five games so has started the season in fine fettle. He’s scored the opener on two occasions this season and is a bit of value to make it a hat-trick after just six games.
