Football tipster Paddy Murphy has dug into the fixtures and has found five picks for a value-heavy Acca. We’ll be looking at his Doncaster v Huddersfield betting tips, Wigan v Morecambe betting tips, Barrow v Bolton betting tips, Birmingham v Walsall betting tips and Bromley v Cambridge betting tips.

Football accumulator tips

19:00 Doncaster v Huddersfield – Both teams to score, no draw
19:00 Wigan v Morecambe – Under 2.5 goals
19:45 Barrow v Bolton – Over 2.5 goals
19:45 Birmingham v Walsall – Both teams to score
19:45 Bromley v Cambridge – Bromley or draw

Doncaster v Huddersfield – Both Teams to Score, No Draw

EFL Trophy match at the Eco-Power Stadium, Doncaster
TV: Sky Sports Red Button, 19:45

We should be in for an interesting clash here at the Eco-Power Stadium. Both sides have started the season quite well. Of their six competitive games, they’ve both won four and lost two. Granted, the hosts are a league tier lower than Huddersfield but home advantage may nullify that aspect.

Doncaster’s two home games this season have ended in victory, winning 4-1 and 1-0 while the away side have won one of their three away games thus far, losing the other two, scoring a total of five goals while conceding five as well.

Both Teams to Score makes decent sense here but the lack of draw these sides have recorded so far means we can squeeze some extra value out of this match, so, we’re backing BTTS, No Draw.

Wigan v Morecambe – Under 2.5 Goals

EFL Trophy match at the Brick Community Stadium, Wigan
TV: Sky Sports Red Button, 19:45

You’d have to feel somewhat sorry for fans of both Wigan and Morecambe this season. Of their 10 combined competitive fixtures this season, only one has ended in a win, a 1-0 home win for Wigan over Crawley Town. The hosts drew with Barnsley in the League Cup but lost on penalties. Morecambe have lost all of their games and haven’t even scored a goal.

The Latic, obviously, aren’t pulling up trees and have only scored three goals so far this campaign. So, let’s just emphasis these stats: Wigan have scored three in five games, and the Shrimps have scored zilch. Seeing Under 2.5 goals well above Evens at the time of writing, we’d be mad not to take that here.

Barrow v Bolton – Over 2.5 Goals

EFL Trophy match at the SO Legal Stadium, Barrow-in-Furness
TV: Sky Sports Red Button, 19:45

League Two’s Barrow have won four of their six games so far, drew one in the League Cup and won it on penalties, and have also lost one. League One’s Bolton have won two, drawn two, winning one on penalties, and lost two.

The hosts are undefeated on home soil this season too, winning three and drawing one, winning it on penalties, scoring a healthy eight goals while conceding two. Wanderers have won two and lost one on their travels so far, scoring four and conceding three. Both teams should be scoring and both have it in them to get at least a second too, Over 2.5 Goals has the value here.

Birmingham v Walsall – Both Teams to Score

EFL Trophy match at St. Andrew’s, Birmingham
TV: Sky Sports Red Button, 19:45

Birmingham have lost just one of their six games this season, a 0-2 loss at home to the Premier League’s Fulham in the League Cup, drawing one and winning the four others.

Walsall are in good nick, too. They’ve also won four, drawn one (winning it on penalties), and lost one. Chris Davies’ Blues, though, have only won once on home soil this season, drawing one and losing one. They conceded in all three and, indeed, conceded in five of their six games.

Walsall have scored 11 goals in their six games so far, four of which came in two away games. With the hosts conceding so many, we have to have a nibble in the Both Teams to Score market for this one.

Bromley v Cambridge – Bromley or Draw

EFL Trophy match at Hayes Lane, London
TV: Sky Sports Red Button, 19:45

This one might be a tough watch for both sets of fans. Bromley have won two and lost three so far this season, Cambridge have drawn one and lost four. They scored five goals over those five games, but four of them came in their 4-4 draw at home with Blackpool.

Bromley have scored seven this season, four of which came on home soil, while the Lilywhites have yet to rattle the onion bag in their away fixtures. Based on those, you’d have to give it to Bromley, but let’s take a wee bit of insurance and take them in the Double Chance market.
