7.45pm: Juventus v Roma – Under 2.5 Goals
TV: TNT Sports 1 and OneFootbal
Juventus and Roma kick off our acca in what looks a mouthwatering Serie A clash. The Old Lady have a perfect two-from-two record so far while Roma find themselves in 15th with just one point to their name.
Juve have strolled to consecutive 3-0 wins against weak opposition while Roma scored one and conceded two in their two. In the last six meetings between these two there’s only been over 2.5 goals only once so a close, defensive, clash should be on the cards again and under 2.5 could well pay.
7.45pm: Lille v Paris St-Germain – PSG to win
TV: Ligue 1 Pass
Death, missing out on Oasis tickets, and Paris St-Germain being top of the Ligue 1 table. Yes, we’re only two games in but PSG have won two, scored 10 and conceded just one. Lille have, themselves, started nicely with a brace of 2-0 wins and they’re in second making this a top of the table clash.
Someone’s O has got to go and, let’s face it, it’s going to be Lille’s. PSG have won five of the last six meetings with Sunday’s opponents, though this game last season was a 1-1 draw. Normally PSG rack up a few though and they’re a very good price to win all things considered.
8pm: Corinthians v Flamengo – Flamengo to win
Let’s take a rare foray into the wonderful world of the Brazilian Serie A where two famous old clubs meet in Corinthians and Flamengo. The hosts are struggling and are third bottom of the top tier while Flamengo are flying high in 4th, four points off the summit.
The visitors have already beaten Corinthians once this season, a 2-0 victory back in May. We’re getting a good price on an away win and it’s well worth a go in our acca.
8.30pm: Real Madrid v Real Betis
TV: Premier Sports 1 and LALIGATV
We finish in Spain with a royal rumble as Real Madrid and Real Betis get it on at half eight. Would you believe me if I told you that the Spanish champions have won only one of the last four against Betis and just three of the last 10? Well it’s all true.
Betis have earned four 0-0 draws at the Bernabeu in the last five years so we already know exactly how they’re going to approach this, and they actually have a far worse record on home soil against Carlo Ancelotti’s crew when there is some expectation on them to come out and play a bit.
Betis have drawn both of their games so far while there have been two stalemates out of three for a disjointed Madrid side who are trying to crowbar Kylian Mbappe in up front. At the prices Betis (+2) is NAP of the weekend territory.
