Football Tips: 13/1 shot among Lawro’s Saturday Bet Builders for Arsenal and Man City games on the box

Lawro returns to cast a beady eye over Saturday's top-flight action on the telly.

Mark Lawrenson's Premier League predictions for this weekend

Saturday’s football tips

12.30pm: Arsenal v Brighton
Arsenal (-1)
Both teams to score? No
Kai Havertz to score

5.30pm: West Ham v Manchester City
Manchester City (-1)
Over 3.5 goals
Jarrod Bowen to Score

12.30pm: Arsenal v Brighton

TV: TNT Sports 1 and TNT Sports Ultimate

I think Arsenal will beat Brighton. Arsenal have scored two in each of their games so far so I think they’ll get another two here. It was a great result for them winning at Aston Villa and they’re good at home as well.

It’s a big test for Brighton, this. They won easily at Everton but they could have been 2-0 down in the first 20 minutes and, in fairness, Manchester United could easily have won against them as well. Easily.

I think they’ve flattered to deceive so I think it will be a home win for Mikel Arteta and his boys. Will Brighton score? No.

Kai Havertz has grown into it at Arsenal and he’s a slow burner, isn’t he? Some players come in and it’s fab and they fade away. Others come in for loads of money and something happens and they’re away.

I’m yet to meet a German who isn’t confident and the players who play around him know what a good player he is. He’s clever, he makes clever runs, he’s intelligent and now he’s started to score more regularly.

5.30pm: West Ham v Manchester City

The worst thing you can do is poke the bear and make it angry and that’s what Ipswich did to Manchester City last week. It’s just the same old, same old with City but their same old happens to be very good indeed.

Ilkay Gundogan is back so that’s an interesting one because you thought if they were going to bring someone in it would certainly be a striker. I don’t think there’s anyone in the squad who can just come in and play if Erling Haaland gets injured.

West Ham have won one and lost one but I’ll go for a comprehensive win for Manchester City.

West Ham were good away from home and they were a little bit unfortunate with that penalty but it’s going to take time for Julen Lopetegui to get them going.

They’ve signed some good players and West Ham, on paper, look to have made some really good singings. I fancy West Ham to score and that Jarrod Bowen will get it.
