Gameweek two of the new Premier League season is here, and the action gets underway on the south coast in Saturday’s early kick-off.
Believe it or not, Liverpool are not involved in this one. Instead, it’s their bitter rivals from down the road who are off to sunny Sussex for a Bank Holiday weekend battle.
One man not clocking off for a three-day party is our football tipster Sam Farley who has been busy crunching the numbers for his Brighton v Man Utd betting tips, with a particular focus here on fouls. Don’t forget about Paddy’s Super Sub offer either, with all six of these punts applicable.

Kaoru Mitoma to commit 1+ fouls
It was arguably Mitoma who was Brighton’s best player in their dominant win over Everton on the opening weekend, with the Japanese wide man finding the back of the net. He was also good defensively, making three tackles. However, in addition to those three tackles he gave away two fouls, tied for the most in the Brighton team.
James Milner to commit 1+ fouls
We saw Milner roll back the years against Everton, playing 82 minutes, breaking up their play with four tackles, the highest amount in the Brighton XI. This Man Utd midfield and attack are a significant step up from Everton and given that Milner gave up a foul in that game, we can be confident he’ll do the same again here. At 38-years old, he’s not as quick or dynamic as he used to be and that will be highlighted against United.
Jack Hinshelwood to commit 1+ fouls
Nobody expected to see Jack Hinshelwood play for Brighton last weekend but the 19-year old started, played 90 minutes and performed well. He’s likely to retain his place here and will be on the left side of the Brighton backline, putting him up against Amad Diallo, who will give him a difficult game with his direct running.
Kobbie Mainoo to commit 1+ fouls
The England midfielder was at the heart of the action against Fulham and was the best player on the pitch. He dictated play in the middle of the field and shockingly even led his team in dribbles. He was fouled four times and led his team in fouls committed too, with three.
Noussair Mazraoui to commit 1+ fouls
The Moroccan had a great debut at Old Trafford with two tackles, three interceptions and he didn’t give up a foul. That is likely to change here with Mazraoui up against Mitoma, who is far more direct than either Alex Iwobi or Emile Smith-Rowe, who he came up against last week.
Diogo Dalot to commit 1+ fouls
When it comes to Man Utd there’s one man who is nearly always a lock to give up a foul and that’s Diogo Dalot. He gave up two fouls in 90 minutes against Fulham and averaged 1.3 fouls per game last season.
