Dusan Vlahovic to score
Como’s reward for earning promotion to Serie A is what looks to be an absolute paddling away at Juventus on the opening day. Juve are huge favourites for this match-up after their third-placed finish last season. Como finished second in Serie B and will face an almighty fight to stay up.
The Old Lady should win this with ease but Dusan Vlahovic to score has some value. The Serbian striker bagged 18 goals in 38 games last season and will be licking his lips at the prospect of a newly-promoted side at home to kick off the campaign.
8pm: Leicester v Tottenham

Over 3.5 Goals
Like Como, Leicester were promoted last season and many expect their stay in the top flight to be a short one. Spurs flattered to deceive, as always, under Ange Postecoglou last season but the signing of Dominic Solanke looks a good one.
It would be very Spursy for them to lose this match but instead we’ll back entertainment rather than the outcome. Last season saw the most goals ever in the English top flight and fans will be hoping we manage to top that again this time around.
This kind of game looks ripe for plenty of action and Over 3.5 goals is a good price. The Foxes shipped just under a goal a game in the second tier while Spurs let in a monstrous 61 and scored 74 in just 38 games.
8.30pm: Villarreal v Atletico Madrid
TV: Premier Sports 1 and LALIGATV
Atletico Madrid to Win
This might not be quite as entertaining, though. Atletico Madrid have evolved into a more expansive side in recent years but old habits die hard and they kept it pretty tight last season, conceding 43 in 38 on their way to 4th in La Liga.
Villarreal ended up in 8th and had a pleasing goal difference of zero with 65 for and against. There’s plenty for them to improve on, then, but Atleti are Paddy’s favourites here.
Diego Simeone’s madmen won this fixture home and away last season and it may well pay to back them to prevail here.
Alexander Sorloth to score
I said old habits die hard for Simeone and he just couldn’t resist going out and buying a giant battering ram to go up top. That battering ram is the 6′ 4″ Norwegian Alexander Sorloth.
Now, to be fair to him, he’s more than just a hefty presence and he bagged 26 goals in 41 games for, oh look, Villarreal last season. We all know how the footballing gods work and he’s going to help sink his old friends on the Yellow Submarine and show them what they’re missing.
