7:45pm: Hull v Sheffield Wednesday – Both Team to Score

Wednesday night sees EFL Cup action continue, while Real Madrid and Atalanta go head to head in the UEFA Super Cup. We’re all over the evening’s action and we’ve put together a tidy acca for you lucky lot!

First up is Hull v Sheffield Wednesday in the EFL Cup. The visitors hammered Wayne Rooney’s Plymouth Argyle 4-0 on Sunday in their Championship opener and Danny Rohl will demand more of the same against Hull.

Sheffield Wednesday will be more than confident of scoring, even if Rohl makes changes, while Hull will be desperate to put on a performance at home after snatching a point in their 1-1 draw against Bristol City on Saturday.

Oscar Estupinan netted a 91st minute penalty and that late equaliser will have felt like a winner for Hull. While Sheffield Wednesday look the form team and they could progress, we’ll side with a safer selection of Both Teams to Score.

7:45pm: Plymouth v Cheltenham – Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 Goals

From Hull to Plymouth now as Rooney’s men return to action after their hammering against Sheffield Wednesday.

The former Manchester United and England striker will demand a response from his side as Plymouth host League Two’s Cheltenham Town.

Cheltenham beat Newport County 3-2 in their opening league fixture on Saturday and Michael Flynn’s side will fancy their chances of causing Plymouth a few problems.

Instead of picking a winner, Both Teams to Score and Over 2.5 Goals is a smart shout. Plymouth should have more quality, however, it’s a free hit for Cheltenham as they travel to a Championship side. We’re expecting goals.

8pm: Leeds v Middlesbrough – Leeds to Win & Over 2.5 Goals

The last EFL Cup game in focus is Leeds v Middlesbrough, which sees two Championship promotion hopefuls go head to head.

Leeds were expected to hammer Portsmouth in their league opener on Saturday, however, they were 3-2 down in the 92nd minute before Brenden Aaronson’s 95th minute equaliser at Elland Road.

Daniel Farke’s side dominated with almost 70 per cent possession, while also having 22 shots and 10 of them on target. They’ll be desperate to get their first win of the campaign on Wednesday with a place in the EFL Cup second round up for grabs.

Middlesbrough beat Swansea 1-0 at home on Saturday and they’re expected to push for at least the play-offs this season. They will likely get on the scoresheet but Leeds’ quality should shine through, even if both sides make plenty of changes. Leeds to Win & Over 2.5 Goals is a value pick.

8pm: Real Madrid v Atalanta – Real Madrid to Win & Over 2.5 Goals

Finally, we’re in Warsaw, Poland for the Super Cup between last season’s Champions League winners Real Madrid and the Europa League winners Atalanta.

Real Madrid were the best team in Europe last campaign and they’ve added Kylian Mbappe to their ranks so expect them to improve this time out.

The Spanish giants should have far too much quality for their Italian rivals. However, Atalanta’s games usually include plenty of goals as they’re not afraid to chuck bodies forward.

Real Madrid to Win & Over 2.5 Goals is the play. This could finish 3-0 or 2-1 and we’d have a winner!
