USA v Guinea – USA to Win to Nil
All that stands between the USA qualifying for the knockout stages of this year’s Olympics is the might of Guinea. Yes, that’s said in jest, sorry Guinea but they’re pointless after both of their games so far, losing 1-2 to New Zealand and 1-0 to France.
The US began their Group A matches with a disastrous 3-0 loss to hosts France but made light work of New Zealand in their following game, smashing them 1-4. Indeed, Guinea have only won one of their last seven matches and failed to even scored in three of them. USA should be winning this to Nil.

Men’s Olympics Group A match at the Stade Velodrome, Marseille

New Zealand v France – France to Win & Both Teams to Score
France can lose this game by 5-0, and they’d still qualify with a superior goal difference to New Zealand, so they’ve not much to be worried about here. The Kiwis won’t go down without a fight, though. It’s just not their way. They have scored at least one in all of their last nine fixtures and two in seven of those nine.
There’s little doubt France will win but adding in a New Zealand goal gives us some nicer odds.
Paraguay v Mali

Paraguay v Mali – Both Teams to Score
In Group D, it’s between Paraguay and Mali for the chance to take second place. Paraguay is in the driving seat with three points from their two games, while Mali has collected just one. The Paraguayians responded well after their 5-0 pasting at the hands of Japan in their opening games, smashing Israel 2-4 three days later.
Mali drew 1-1 with Israel in their opener and hung on until the 82nd minute against Japan, where they lost 1-0. You’d have to favour the South Americans, but they’ve shipped 13 goals over their last four games, while Mali have netted at least one in six of their last eight, so a Both Teams to Score pick has the better value.

Men’s Olympics Group D match at the Stade de la Beaujoire, Nantes

Israel v Japan – Japan to Win
Israel haven’t a proverbial snowball’s here. They’ve only collected one point so far, that aforementioned draw with Mali and Paraguay put four past them on Saturday, they did, at least, respond with two to make the scoreline respectable.
Japan though have won eight of their last nine games and have kept a clean sheet in seven of those matches. We could back a Win to Nil here but just in case Isreal do actually score, let’s go with Japan to Win instead.
