Fenerbahce v Lugano
Champions League Qualifier at the Ulker Stadyumu, Istanbul
18:00

Fenerbahce v Lugano – Fenerbahce to Win & Over 2.5 Goals

Turkey’s Fenerbahce are very short odds to beat their Swiss opponents on Wednesday evening. The first leg was a rather lively affair, with seven goals being scored, ending 4-3 to the Turks. An argument can be made that Lugano have a slight advantage as they’ve played three competitive games, following five friendlies so far this season, while Fenerbahce have played one competitive game and five friendlies.

The hosts are quite strong on home soil, though, winning four of their last five competitive games in Istanbul and scoring 16 goals. Lugano have won three of their last five away games and scored six. You’d have to give it to the home side based on that alone, but with both teams in good goal-scoring form, we’re also likely to see at least three goals.

Petroclub v APOEL
Champions League Qualifier at the Stadionul Orasenesc, Hincesti
18:00

Petroclub v APOEL – Both Teams to Score

Moldova’s Petroclub hold a slender 1-0 lead over their Cypriot opponents heading into their second leg and the odds reflect the fact that either side are good enough to take the win here. The Moldovan side have played three games in the competition so far, none in the league while APOEL have played just once in the Champions League this far, with four pre-season friendlies behind them too. Petroclub played just one friendly.

It must be noted that the hosts are very strong on home turf. They’ve won all 13 of their last games at home, while APOEL have won just two of their last five on their travels, drawing one and losing one. However, they scored a healthy five times. It’s a tough match to call, but the away side have to go for it, and the hosts don’t keep many clean sheets, so Both Teams to Score is the smart play here.

Sparta Prague v Shamrock Rovers
Champions League Qualifier at the Epet Arena, Prague
18:00

Sparta Prague v Shamrock Rovers – Sparta Prague to Win 1-0, 2-0, or 3-0

Sparta Prague hold a 2-0 lead thanks to their exploits in Dublin last week and they are very short odds to take the win here. The big question here is whether Stephen Bradley’s side can get an away goal and after failing to score in five of their last eight on the road, the indications are they won’t.

Going with a Score Combination bet looks good here, so we’re backing Sparta Prague to Win 1-0, 2-0, or 3-0.

Slovan Bratislava v Celje
Champions League Qualifier at the Stadion Tehelne, Bratislava
19:30

Slovan Bratislava v Celje – Both Teams to Score

Across the Czech border, Slovan Bratislava host Slovenia’s Celje. The first leg ended 1-1 but the hosts are odds-on to do the business at their home ground. Both teams are in good shape, the hosts have played four competitive games already this season, winning three and drawing one, scoring 11 goals. The Slovenians have also played four, winning three and drawing one, scoring 10.

Armed with those stats, Both Teams to Score has plenty of value armed here.
