Despite finding themselves battling on the lowest rung of the European qualification ladder, Crusaders still have a chance, as they welcome Welsh side Caernarfon to Belfast.
Both teams won their domestic playoffs to secure a spot in the UEFA Europa Conference League First Qualifying Round and it’s advantage to Caernarfon following a 2-0 first leg win last week.
Crusaders simply have to react, to keep alive their slim hopes, and they ended last season with three home wins in league action.

However, if Crusaders are to give themselves a fighting chance of edging into the next round, they may have to do it the hard way. Those three victories at the back end of last season only featured one clean sheet and they have only secured one shut out in four summer friendlies.
Caernarfon scored twice in the first half in the first leg and they will fancy their chances of at least getting on the score sheet on their trip across the Irish Sea.

Larne face an even tougher task than their Northern Irish rivals Crusaders in the UEFA Champions League First Qualifying Round. They lost 3-0 away in Riga last week as Latvian champions RFS sealed a dominant victory on home soil.
Tiernan Lynch’s side have nothing to lose ahead of this game and they lost just one home league game last season and victory would be a boost regardless of European progression.
Both home European games last season, against HJK Helsinki and Ballkani, featured over 2.5 goals scored and RFS have already shown their goal scoring power.
