Friday’s euro 2024 tips
5pm: Spain v Germany
Germany to Win 2-1
8pm: Portugal v France
France to Win 2-0
5pm: Spain v Germany
Spain and Germany have been very impressive and this would have made a fine final. Spain have the two young wingers and they’re a real handful. Lamine Yamal and Nico Williams are extremely-well coached.
Germany just do what they do, they’re very effective. They got rid of Denmark quite easily and I wonder if they might have too much nous for Spain. I’m going to go for Germany to Win 2-1. There’s something about Spain, I just can’t see them beating Germany. Maybe they’ve peaked too soon.
8pm: Portugal v France
France have been totally unconvincing so far but they just keep getting through and you feel there’s a big performance coming against somebody. Kylian Mbappe and Antoine Griezmann both have more to give and maybe it will come here. I think France will win this 2-0.
It will be interesting to see who’s managing Portugal on the night, whether it’s Cristiano Ronaldo or Roberto Martinez! It was absolutely nuts, that Portugal game against Slovenia.
It was funny but Martinez made himself look daft. After Ronaldo had taken two or three free kicks he’s got to get hold of them and change it up. It was so farcical and then he started blubbing!
