In the early hours of Sunday morning, we have Argentina vs Peru and Canada vs Chile, as Group A of this year’s Copa America concludes. Argentina have qualified already and avoiding defeat to Peru will see them top the group, while the three remaining teams will all qualify with a win.

Argentina to Win
The Argentinians came into this tournament expected to be amongst the final teams standing and through two games it’s straightforward to see why. They’ve won both games against Canada and Chile and have already secured their spot in the next round.
Anything but defeat against Peru and they finish the group top. That’s more than likely against a poor Peru team and even with some rotation we’re likely to see Argentina win comfortably.
Lautaro Martinez to Score
Amongst the rotation for Argentina, Inter’s Lautaro Martinez will probably come into the starting lineup. The 26-year-old came into this tournament following a 24-goal Serie A season but it wasn’t enough to see him get the start.
That hasn’t stopped him from scoring and he’s scored twice already with both goals coming from the bench. With two goals and five shots in just 31 minutes on the field, he deserves a chance to start here, and if he does then we have to fancy he’ll continue this form and score.
Both teams to score – No
One of the most impressive things for Argentina so far has been how they’ve performed defensively. The central defensive duo of Lisandro Martinez and Cristian Romero has looked great and even with rotation they’re surely going to keep tight at the back.
That’s in part down to Peru and the lack of threat that they have. They’re yet to score in two competitive games, putting up blanks against Canada and Chile. Edson Flores and Gianluca Lapadula aren’t top-level strikers and won’t threaten Argentina.

Alexis Sanchez to have 1 or more Shots On Target
If you only watch Premier League football then it’s probably quite a shock to see that not only is 35-year-old Alexis Sanchez still playing, admittedly as a bit-part player for Inter, but he’s still a key player for his country.
Alexis sits in the hole behind Eduardo Vargas looking to exploit space and get into dangerous positions. He is yet to score but leads the team in shots per game, with a total of three. Against a poor Canadian defence, he’s likely to get chances to get one on target.
Alphonso Davies to have 1 or more Shots
To wrap up our Bet Builder we’re betting Bayern Munich’s Alphonso Davies to take one or more shots in the game and they don’t even need to be on target. Davies is Canada’s key man and uses his electric pace to get into dangerous positions from the left flank.
He’s had three shots across both games so far and with a spot in the knockout rounds at stake, you’ve got to believe that he’ll be trying to drag his team to victory here by taking at least one shot.
