Colombia To Win

Colombia and Paraguay get their Copa America campaigns underway on Monday evening with James Rodriguez and Co. the heavy favourites to secure the win in their opening Group D game.

It’s hard to go against Colombia considering they’ve won their last eight matches, while going unbeaten in their last 23 outings. That includes impressive wins against Brazil, Germany and Spain.

Paraguay, who lost 1-0 against Colombia last year, have won just two of their last nine outings and Daniel Garnero’s side could be in for a long night.

We’re siding with Colombia To Win. They should have far too much quality for their rivals, with the likes of Rodriguez and Liverpool’s Luis Diaz set to give Paraguay a few headaches.

Luis Diaz To Score Or Assist

We just mentioned that Diaz will be a problem for Paraguay and we fancy him to Score Or Assist.

The Liverpool winger netted 13 times and chipped in with five assists in all competitions last season and he’s bagged 12 times for his country.

Diaz is more of a main man for Colombia compared to being a role player for Liverpool. He averaged just under 2.5 shots per game last season and he’ll have a few efforts on goal against Paraguay. If he doesn’t score, he could set up one of his team-mates.

2am Tuesday: Brazil v Costa Rica

Brazil -2

Nine-time Copa America winners Brazil kick off their tournament with a showdown against Costa Rica.

Dorival Junior’s side are the heavy favourites to beat Costa Rica and they’re the second-favourites to win the competition behind Argentina.

Brazil will be keen to make a statement in their opening group game and it’s not worth backing them at the odds, so we like Brazil -2 on the Handicap betting.

Their front four of Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo, Raphinha and Lucas Paqueta will be a nightmare for Costa Rica to handle. Expect Brazil to put on a show.

Vinicius Junior To Score

Brazil will be all over Costa Rica and we like Vinicius Junior To Score.

The Real Madrid man, who won La Liga and the Champions League last season with the Spanish giants, netted 24 times in all competitions, while also chipping in with nine assists.

Vinicius Junior will be the main man for Brazil in this year’s Copa America with Neymar out injured. He scored in the Champions League final against Borussia Dortmund and he steps up on big occasions. We fancy him to do just that for Brazil.

Lucas Paqueta To Commit 2 Or More Fouls

Finally, we’re on Paqueta To Commit 2 Or More Fouls.

As we all know, the West Ham man is a foul machine. Paqueta averaged 1.5 fouls per game last season in all competitions and he committed at least one foul in 28 of his 31 Premier League appearances.

Paqueta, who picked up 13 yellow cards last campaign, is always involved in games and he’s not afraid to get stuck in. He could easily commit two fouls to stop Costa Rica’s counter attacks.
