Cristiano Ronaldo failed to open his Euro 2024 account at the first time of asking, though it wasn’t for the lack of trying. The Selecao skipper spearheaded a barrage of attacks against the Czechs with three of Portugal’s eight on-target efforts coming from Ronaldo.

With Ronaldo almost certain to be extra motivated to get up and running against Turkey, back the Portuguese skipper to test goalkeeper Mert Gunok at least once.

Over 1.5 Turkey Cards

Turkey averaged 3.38 cards per 90 minutes during Euro 2024 qualifying and they may have to lean on the dark arts again to take the sting out of Portugal’s attack.

The Inter Milan maestro was reprimanded twice by the referee during Turkey’s 3-1 win over Georgia on Tuesday, collecting a yellow card for his troubles in the process.

Given the firepower that Portugal boss Roberto Martinez has at his disposal, Calhanoglu may have no option but to ramp up his aggression on matchday two. With that in mind, back the Crescent Stars’ captain to commit another couple of fouls during this clash.
