Harry Kane to be fouled 2+ times

The Bayern Munich striker has gone back into full England tournament mode for the sake of his country.

Once Harry Kane gets that armband on for a major tournament for England he seems to turn into a world class fouls against machine.

Going back to the 2018 World Cup finals, every time Kane has played for England in a major tournament game, he has been fouled at least once. That is 19 matches running and he was fouled five times against Serbia in their opening game at Euro 2024.

13 of the 19 matches in major tournament fouls have seen Kane be fouled twice or more. This often comes when the match is close, or when England have a lead to protect, both of which could be the case here.

Christian Eriksen to have 2+ shots

Christian Eriksen is playing in a free role in behind Man United teammate Rasmus Hojlund and Jonas Wind, with the protection of Morten Hjulmand and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg behind him, and he is absolutely flourishing in terms of shot numbers he is producing at the moment.

Eriksen hit five shots in the first match of Denmark’s tournament against Slovenia, including the opening goal. He also hit five against Sweden in a pre-tournament friendly, and three vs Switzerland in March. Indeed, Eriksen had at least one shot in each of his last 12 starts for Denmark.

Nine of those 12 starts have seen Eriksen take two or more shots, it also helps that Eriksen will be on every set piece, so a dangerous free kick can almost guarantee an effort at goal.

Trent Alexander-Arnold to have 1+ shots

The midfield experiment looks set to continue for Trent Alexander-Arnold and England. If this is the case, it is good news for this bet, as Alexander-Arnold is a good option for shots when playing in this role.

Obviously, much of Alexander-Arnold’s data comes from the right back position he has tended to play for Liverpool and England, but concentrating on his recent appearances in midfield, he has looked to threaten the goal regularly.

He is often on direct set pieces, which helps, but he is also a threat from range, which he showed against Serbia. England managed only five shots in the match, but Alexander-Arnold produced three, all from outside the box.

He’s had at least one shot in each of his last five England starts, and those totals read at 3, 1, 3, 4 and 2. While he is unlikely to play the full 90 minutes, this record shows he is likely to get at least one shot off, and Super Sub applies to this selection if he is replaced.

Jude Bellingham to commit 1+ fouls

While Jude Bellingham is more likely to receive fouls than make them, there was plenty of evidence in the Serbia match that Bellingham is also going to dig in and battle the opposite way.

The Real Madrid man only committed one foul in the match but was involved in plenty of other good work from a defensive perspective.

That single foul added to a record which shows that in 13 of his last 18 England starts he has committed at least one foul, at a rate of just over one foul per 90 minutes.
