Germany v Hungary Tips
Germany to Win 3-0
Kai Havertz to Score
Germany make light work of Scotland in their opening Euro 2024 game last Friday, winning 5-1 where it could have been a lot more. Hungary failed to show up in the first half of their opening against the Swiss, losing 1-3 on the day.
Paddy’s mate, Phil Thompson doesn’t hold out much hope for the Hungarians here, let’s get his predictions…
Wednesday, June 19: 17:00 – Germany v Hungary
Euro 2024 Group A match – Stuttgart
TV: BBC One/RTE2
Germany could blow Hungary away here after running out 5-1 winners against Scotland, the biggest opening scoreline of a Euros.
Toni Kroos was just fantastic. He ran the game. Hungary will maybe think about doing a man-to-man marking job on him.
There were five different scorers for Germany. That shows they’ve got goals throughout – they are not dependent on just one person as you might see with Belgium and Lukaku and England with Kane.
Hungary were so poor in the first half against Switzerland. Yes they got better, but they were chasing the game and got done by the third goal.
I’m going for a 3-0 scoreline to Germany.
I like Kai Havertz for a goal. I think he’s carrying on from a good end of season with Arsenal, and he scored against Scotland too.
