Instead of kicking back and getting ready for the new club season he’s answered the international call and will be delivering his Euro 2024 predictions every bloomin’ day of the tournament right here on Paddy Power News.
Sunday sees some meaty clashes and England’s first game in the tournament so get your a**e flares at the ready for Poland v Netherlands, Slovenia v Denmark and Serbia v England. It’s looking like another belting day so here’s how Lawro thinks it’s all going to go down with his crafty calls added in to a tasty treble for good measure. Take it away, Lawro.

It could be a good game, Poland v Netherlands. The Poles are always strong physically and they’re still wheeling Robert Lewandowski out. I have a sneaky feeling that The Netherlands might get to the quarters, if not the semis.
They’ve got the much better players so I’ll go for Netherlands to win 1-0. These first games are going to be so tight because you absolutely do not want to lose the opening match so I fancy there’ll be Under 2.5 Goals in this game.
Slovenia v Denmark will be really, really close as well. We don’t know too much about Slovenia at this stage but Christian Eriksen scored a wondergoal for the Danes in the pre-tournament friendly so he’s looking good. I’m going for Both Teams To Score and I think it might end 1-1.
Finally on Sunday we’ve got Serbia v England. We all know about Aleksandar Mitrovic but, having made England my tournament favourites, I’ll have to back them to win this quite comfortably. I just don’t see them conceding here.
I’d read nothing into that Iceland game because no one wants to get injured. I hope Luke Shaw’s fit otherwise they are a bit unbalanced but England have got so many match winners.
