5pm: Czech Republic v North Macedonia – Under 2.5 Goals

Backing Under 2.5 Goals always comes with a bit of a nervous twist, but for a pre-tournament friendly between the Czech Republic and North Macedonia, it presents a bit of bait too tempting not to bite. Three of the last four games involving the Former Yugoslav Republic have finished under, including a 1-1 draw with England in November.

While the Czech Republic enjoyed a free-scoring 7-1 win over Malta on Friday, and have hit Over 2.5 goals in all their last four games, North Macedonia will provide a sterner test for the forwards with a reputation of being difficult to break down and no need to maintain themselves as they haven’t qualified for Euro 2024.

With their opening Euro 2024 game against Portugal only eight days away, I’m happy to predict a much more cautious approach from the Czechs with players looking to avoid injury and the manager looking to finalise his best eleven ahead of the tournament.

7.45pm: Netherlands v Iceland – Under 2.5 Goals

The Netherlands will experience similar caution in their final pre-Euro 2024 friendly against Iceland. The Dutch will only have six days between this game and their opener against Poland on Sunday, so expect their players to keep a fair bit of energy in reserve.

Iceland enjoyed a famous 1-0 win at Wembley against England on Friday night and will be buoyed in the hope that they can repeat the feat against the Netherlands. They frustrated the England attack, reducing them to one tame shot on target.

Maybe it’s international-friendly fatigue, but Under 2.5 Goals looks to be the play here as well. Iceland have seen less than three goals in three of their last four games. The Netherlands have scored four or more in three of their last four, but they won’t be pushing to their limit on Monday.

7.45pm: Poland v Turkey – Both Teams to Score

The only friendly featuring two Euro 2024 qualifiers on Monday night is an intriguing game between Poland and Turkey. The two sides provide outside shouts of making the knockout stages and should be well-matched against each other.

Turkey are in mixed form having drawn with Italy last week, but also heavily lost 6-1 to Austria in March. Poland beat Ukraine 3-1 on Friday in their only game since their playoff win against Wales on penalties after a 0-0 draw. Both sides both attacking talent and a Both Teams to Score shout looks to be the way to go.
