Borussia Dortmund v Real Madrid
Saturday, 8pm, Champions League Final at Wembley Stadium, London
TV: TNT Sports 1, RTE2

It’s almost getting boring now, isn’t it? Madrid and the Champions League. It’s become their trophy.

Regardless of how they’re playing – and they’ve been good this year, they’ve won La Liga and beaten top sides on the way here – they could be coming in off the back of some poor performances and you’d still fancy them against anyone.

Naturally, Jude Bellingham’s a big focus this year and he has had such a great season in his first in Madrid, he’s got goals and assists and fitted right into team straightaway. In his first season to go and win La Liga, that’d be good enough, but there’s every chance they go and win a Champions League as well with him as a central part of the team too.

JUDE BELLINGHAM TO HAVE 1 OR MORE SHOTS ON TARGET

That’s the difference between going to Real Madrid and somewhere else. You’re just in big games every single year and it elevates you to a different level. I think that’s where Jude is now.

He’s up against his old team as well and as been a huge goal threat this season so I fancy him for a shot on target at least.

VINICIUS  JR TO SCORE

And they have players who can hurt you all across the team. Vinicius Jr is a massive danger too – I mean literally the only person that can stop him is Kyle Walker it seems. It’s been great to watch the two of them against each other in the last few years. He’s so dangerous in every single game and Dortmund will have to have a plan to contain him.

I’m not sure they can and will take him to score at least once.

JADON SANCHO TO BE FOULED 1 OR MORE TIMES

Dortmund have surprised everyone already with this run, so I don’t think this game is a foregone conclusion.

No one at the start of the season would have expected them to be in the final, especially with the group they were in.

PSG, Newcastle, Milan – anyone could have come out of that. In the semi-final they had a bit of luck – PSG hit the bar six times! But they defended so well too, and in earlier games as well. They’ve kept six clean sheets in 12 games so far.

That gives players like Nicklas Fullkrug and Jadon Sancho licence to go on the attack.

Sancho certainly in the first leg of the semi was unbelievable. Dortmund will be looking for him, Karim Adeyemi and Julian Brandt to create chances for the big striker, and I’d fancy Sancho to draw a foul on the break.

Match Odds: REAL MADRID TO WIN

Dortmund are capable of causing a big upset, but I’d have to put Real Madrid as favourites and will pick them to edge it in 90 minutes.

I don’t imagine Dortmund will be very attacking. With Fullkrug as well they can get the ball up to him and we know they are decent on the counter-attack so you’d imagine Madrid will control the tempo of the game.

Madrid are always solid and at times they don’t look like they’re in a game you know – and that’s often when they’re most dangerous! When you think you’ve got them they strike.

What’s so good about them though is they have different ways of playing. They can go with a false 9 and the two wingers inverted and causing untold trouble as they’re very difficult to stop one-on-one.

But they can be patient too and wait for a mistake.

It should be a close game but Madrid will come out on top in the end.

ANTONIO RUDIGER TO COMMIT 1 OR MORE FOULS

I don’t see there being many cards in this. There isn’t a history of lots of cards in the final and these sides don’t have any previous either.

Obviously there will be some fouls though and Antonio Rudiger up against the Dortmund attackers could be drawn into one so I’ll take him.
