7.45pm: Cagliari v Fiorentina – Cagliari (+1)
There’s a real end of season vibe to Thursday’s acca, but not because everyone’s got their feet up and are looking forward to their holidays. It’s more that every game has plenty riding on it with season-defining potential.
That’s certainly the case in Fiorentina’s trip to Cagliari with European qualification on the line. I Viola are 8th and are looking to ensure they’re in Europe next season. They have a game in hand over most and with Italy getting the extra Champions League spot they’ve got a good chance of booking a European tour through their league placing.
Cagliari are three points clear of the drop zone and ensured their survival at the weekend. Bizarrely this is their last game of the season with most other teams signing off at the weekend.
Fiorentina have beaten The Islanders the last three times they’ve boarded the boat to the mainland but, on Sardinia, Cagliari are unbeaten against their visitors in four with two wins and two draws to their name. With Claudio Ranieri looking for a result in his managerial swansong, Cagliari (+1) should have a good chance.
8pm: Raith Rovers v Ross County

We’re off to Scotland next for Raith Rovers’ Premiership Playoff First Leg against Ross County with the former looking to replace the latter in the top flight. These two finished second top and second bottom respectively and Paddy’s got this game as a 50/50 toss up.
Both Teams To Score
While playoff games are typically nervy, the trends are pointing towards Both Teams Scoring in this game. While Ross County’s form has obviously been poor, they have scored in five of their last six with Both Teams To Score clicking in the same number.
For the hosts the numbers are not as impressive but that’s mostly due to them keeping clean sheets. They’ve scored in six of their last eight with BTTS paying in four of those. As County are quite good going forward we’ll back them to net and for Both Teams To Score.
Over 2.5 Goals
We’re doubling down on goals in this match and will take on Over 2.5. County have seen over 2.5 Goals in three of their last four games and it’s three out of three for the Raith. Simply put, it would be a surprise if we don’t see Over 2.5 Goals in this match.
8pm: Utrecht v Sparta Rotterdam

Finally we’ve got the slightly mad Europa Conference League Playoff in the Netherlands and we’ll give Utrecht v Sparta Rotterdam the run down. Essentially it’s like the EFL playoffs but the teams who finished 6th to 9th battle it out for the right to go to Slovenia and Azerbaijan on a Thursday night.
As it happens Utrecht finished 7th, one place and one point above Sparta and there’s a big trend in this game that we’ll look to take advantage of – away wins. These two clearly had very similar records this season so there’s obviously not much between them but the away side has won this contest the last five times it’s been played and six out of seven going back to January 2022.
If you want to play it safer then Sparta (+1) should have a great chance in the handicaps but I’m going to go for an Away Win within the 90 minutes.
