The latest football odds are on PaddyPower.com nowWednesday 8pm: Manchester United v Newcastle
Premier League match at Old Trafford
TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League
Manchester United’s form is a real concern. They’ve only won once in their last eight Premier League games, and that came against Sheffield United who are already relegated. The big standout for me is that they’ve lost 19 games across all competitions, that’s the most since 1977/78, when they lost the same amount.
They have struggled with injuries, but this will be a real test, with Newcastle winning four of their last six in the Premier League, despite that disappointment of a draw against Brighton last weekend.
But, the difference between the two sides is that Newcastle have a goal scorer in form. Alexander Isak has scored 10 goals in his last 10 Premier League games and I fancy him to score in this game.
My prediction for this game is a 2-1 Newcastle win and I’m also going for Isak to score anytime.
Thommo’s prediction for Isak to score first is also covered by Paddy Power’s Super Sub offer. Which means if you back someone and they are substituted, your selection moves on to the player who comes off the bench to replace them. Whilst Isak is flying in the Premier League Golden Boot race this season, with 20 goals scored, Eddie Howe will have Callum Wilson, Harvey Barnes and Miguel Almiron in reserve if needed.
