Aston Villa v Liverpool
Premier League match at Villa Park, Birmingham
TV: Sky Sports Main Event/Sky Sports Football, Monday, 8:00pm

Aston Villa host Liverpool in Monday night’s Premier League action with the hosts looking to join Jurgen Klopp’s side in the top four  at the end of the campaign. One more win secures a first Champions League qualification for Unai Emery’s team and it could be a big night in Birmingham!

If you’re unfamiliar with Paddy Power’s Super Sub offer, here’s the basics: if you back a player in certain markets and he’s substituted, your pick is transferred to the oncoming player. Happy days!

Ollie Watkins Anytime Goalscorer

Fresh from his nomination for Player of the Year, Ollie Watkins is just one goal shy of breaking the 20-goal mark in the Premier League this season.

The Villa forward has been in scintillating form but has failed to score in his last three league appearances. He will be desperate to break 20 goals in his final home game of the campaign, especially after Villa’s limp exit from Europe on Thursday night, and Watkins is up against a Liverpool defence that simply cannot keep a clean sheet.

The Reds have failed to keep a shutout in their last nine league games, including eight since the international break. Villa have scored in all but one of their home league games this season and will almost certainly score on Monday night.Watkins is by far the most likely Villa player to find the back of the net and he is good value to do so.

John McGinn to have 1 or more Shots on Target

John McGinn has been crucial in Villa’s push for Champions League qualification. The Scottish midfielder has scored six goals and chipped in with four assists in 33 league appearances, regularly putting in excellent performances in the heart of midfield. He’s also not shy of a shot on goal, averaging 1.2 per game in the Premier League.

Liverpool have been far more leaky than their title rivals this season, facing an average of 11 shots per game compared to Arsenal’s average of 8.4 and Manchester City’s 8.0.

They have been suspect in their last six games, facing 67 shots and 35 shots on target at a rate of around 11 per game and McGinn is decent value to be responsible for at least one against the Reds.

Douglas Luiz to be shown a card

No Aston Villa player has received more cards than Douglas Luiz this season.

The Brazilian has received 11 bookings in the Premier League in 33 appearances, averaging a card every three games. He also averages the second-highest number of fouls per game in the Villa squad this season, at 1.5 per game.

He is likely to be busy in the Villa midfield, in what is set to be a feisty clash with Liverpool, and he is excellent value to receive his 12th card of the season.
