Real Madrid v Bayern Munich (Agg: 2:2)
Champions League semi-final match at the Santiago Bernabeu, Madrid
TV: TNT Sports, Wednesday, 8pm

Real Madrid take on Bayern Munich in Wednesday night’s Champions League semi-final, second leg clash after a pulsating 2-2 draw in Munich last Tuesday. We’ve gone into the stats and form of both squads to find some value in Paddy’s Super Sub markets.

If you’re unfamiliar with PP’s Super Sub offer, you can read more about it here but here’s the basics: if you back a player in certain markets and he’s substituted, your pick is transferred to the oncoming player.

Dani Carvajal to Commit 1 or more Fouls

Real Madrid’s Dani Caravajal missed the first leg against Bayern thanks to a suspension picked up against Man City. He put in an amazing shift against the Premier League leaders though, taking a booking early to break a counterattack and kept his head for the rest of the game.

He’s an incredibly good reader of the game and a master of the dark arts. Indeed, he’s only collected three bookings in La Liga this season although in Europe has collected the same amount. Caravajal’s going to be in for another tough shift here, facing Joshua Kimmich and Jamal Musiala on his side of the pitch and none of us would be surprised to see him bring either to ground over the 90 minutes.

Toni Kroos to have 1 or more Shots on Target

Toni Kross put in a masterful performance against his old employers last week in Munich. He provided the assist for Vinicius Junior’s goal and had a shot on target too. He also created two other chances and completed six of his seven attempted long passes.

Of course, he has the added motivation of wanting to score against the club that booted him out and has been averaging just over a shot per game this season in La Liga. He could well be landing one on target and, if not, Real manager Carlo Ancelotti often replaces him with Luka Modric who’ll certainly be having a pop should Real need a goal in the closing stages.

Jude Bellingham to Score or Assist

Los Blancos won the La Liga title on Saturday with a 3-0 win over Cadiz with goals from Brahim Diaz, Joselu and, of course, Jude Bellingham who now has 22 goals and eight assists in all competitions.

Being at home, we’re likely to see him being deployed a little more toward the Bayern goal than we saw in Munich, and with the likes of Rodrygo and Vini Jr. running off of him he could certainly be creating, or scoring here.

Harry Kane to Score

Harry Kanes has scored 36 Bundesliga goals in 32 games this season and eight in the Champions League. Bayern manager Thomas Tuchel is left with a choice here, does he tell his wingers and midfielder to take a pop when they have a sight on goal, or do they try and get it to the lad with 43 goals this season? The answer is pretty obvious and Kane loves a big occasion.
