The Serie A relegation battle looks set to be a nerve shredding race until the end of the campaign with multiple teams involved in the battle for survival. Rock bottom Salernitana look to be the only current certainty to slip down into Serie B with eight other sides facing an anxious few weeks.
Verona host Udinese this weekend, in a scrap between 16th and 15th in the table respectively, with the hosts winless in their last four and Udinese have just one victory in their own last four outings. That poor form makes a winning tip difficult, but both teams have remained amongst the goals of late, with Verona scoring in their last six successive matches and Udinese on target in four of their last five.

Lens and Clermont find themselves with contrasting objectives in the final few weeks of the Ligue 1 season with the former chasing European qualification as Clermont seem destined for relegation.
However, despite their drive for either a place in the UEFA Europa League or Europa Conference League next season, Lens’ current form is poor, with three draws and a defeat in their last four games. Clermont look determined to go down fighting in 2024, with just one loss in four, including a superb 1-1 draw at PSG earlier this month and they will make life hard for Lens this weekend.

Girona to win
Girona were tipped as potential La Liga title challengers at the start of 2024 but they know face a genuine battle to secure a Champions League spot. Michel Sanchez will be determined to ensure he can create history with a first ever top four finish, but the Catalans have work to do in the run in. Home form has been his saviour in recent weeks, with three successive league wins, and Real Madrid are the only team to beat them at home in 2023/24.
Artem Dovbyk to score anytime
Ukrainian international Artem Dovbyk has been sensational for Girona so far this season and he currently leads the La Liga goal charts with 17, ahead of Jude Bellingham on 16. He also has three goals in his last two appearances, in a crucial return to form, as part of his unexpected goal battle with Bellingham.
