Mallorca v Real Madrid
La Liga match at the Estadi Mallorca Son Moix, Palma
TV: Premier Sports 1/La Liga TV, 5:30pm
Real Madrid to win
Real Madrid head to Mallorca in La Liga action before travelling to Manchester City for their all-important UEFA Champions League quarter final second leg next week. Carlo Ancelotti’s side are easing on towards the Spanish title this season but they still have a little work left to do.
Despite the temptation to completely switch focus to European matters, Real Madrid are unbeaten in league games since September, with three successive victories last month for the champions elect.
Vinicius Junior to score first
Vinicius Junior is closing in on Jude Bellingham as Real Madrid’s top scorer so far this season with the Brazilian now up to 18 goals in all competitions, as Bellingham remains on 20. Despite not finding the back of the net in the first leg against City, the Brazilian is bang in form, with six goals in his previous four starts, and he scored first in three of those games.
Bologna v Monza
Serie A match at the Renato Dall’Ara, Bologna
TV: TNT Sports 1, 7:45pm
Bologna to Win
Bologna are pushing for their highest Serie A finish since the 1960’s as part of an incredible campaign for Thiago Motta’s team. With seven games left to play this season, Bologna are currently fourth, and in position to seal Champions League qualification for the first time in their history. Eight wins from their last ten shows superb form, with five of those victories coming at home, and they should cruise past a Monza side well set in mid-table.
Cadiz v Barcelona
La Liga match at the Estadio Nuevo Mirandilla, Cadiz
TV: Viaplay Sports 1/La Liga TV, 8pm
Both teams to score
Barcelona will be forced to rotate for their trip to relegation battling Cadiz as they gear up for the midweek arrival of Paris Saint-Germain on Champions League duty. Xavi Hernandez is determined to go out with a bang – despite seeing his La Liga title challenge ended by Real Madrid – and Europe is the focus with a top four spot already safe.
Barcelona will be confident of winning, but a reshuffled team against a Cadiz outfit fighting for their lives in the drop zone could be difficult. Barcelona have only failed to score once in a La Liga game since the opening weekend of the campaign and hosts Cadiz have netted in their last three successive home matches.
