AC Milan v Roma
Europa League match at the San Siro, Milan
TV: TNT Sports, Thursday, 8pm
Over 2.5 Goals
This all-Serie A match has the making of a classic. Milan are in the better form of the pair coming into the game but Roma are very much rejuvenated under new boss Daniele De Rossi who will still be flying high on confidence after beating Lazio 1-0 in the Rome derby over the weekend.
Milan are undefeated over their last eight fixtures in all competitions and are also undefeated over their last eight home games, scoring 12 over their last five.
Roma have won two, drawn two, and lost one over their last five, while on their travels share the same results, scoring nine goals. Five of their last six meetings have seen Over 3.5 Goals landing and with both teams in ripe goal-scoring form, we’re getting some great value here in the Over 2.5 Goals market.
Paulo Dybala to have 1 or more Shots on Target
World Cup winner Paulo Dybala leads the goalscoring charts for Roma this season in the league with 12 scored as well as eight created. Milan will be eager to keep him quiet but with eight goals against them, the Rossoneri always find him tricky to deal with. With an average of 2.1 shots per game, we’re backing him to land at least one on target.
Don’t forget about our new Super Sub offer where if you back a player in certain markets, if they’re substituted their picks transfer over to who they’ve been replaced by. Read more about Paddy Power’s Super Sub offer here.
Benfica v Marseille
Europa League match at the Estadio do Sport Lisboa e Benfica, Lisbon
TV: TNT Spots, Thursday, 8pm
Benfica to Win
Benfica have won three, drawn one and lost one over their last five games but their home form has seen them going 19 games with just one loss and that was on penalties in the Portuguese cup. Over their last five at home, they’ve won three and drawn two, scoring a rather healthy 12 goals.
Marseille are in terrible shape, losing all four of their most recent fixtures. Their away from has seen them winning just two of their last 10, one of which was a cup match against minnows Thionville Lusitanos. They’ve lost four of their last five on their travels and while many will say the French league is strong than the Portuguese one, Benfica are a far better team than Marseille.
Angel Di Maria to have 1 or more Shots on Target
Former Real Madrid and Man United winger is certainly enjoying life in Lisbon. He has scored eight and created eight over his 22 league appearances and four goals and two assists over his European games. Marseille are leaking goals of late as well and with an average shot count of 3.3 per game, the Argentine should be landing at least one on target.
Brugge v PAOK
Europa Conference League match at the Jan Breydelstadion, Brugge
TV: TNT Sports, Thursday, 8pm
Both Teams to Score
Both sides come into their Conference League game in decent shape. Hosts, Brugge, have won three, drawn one, and lost one over their last five, while on home soil have won four and lost one, scoring 14 goals.
PAOK have also won three, drawn one, and lost one over their most previously played fixtures and share the same results over their recent travels, scoring nine goals. With both teams in good goal-scoring form, Both Teams to Score has plenty of value here.
