Colombia vs Romania

International friendly match at the Estadio Metropolitano,  Madrid
TV: None, 7:30pm

Colombia to win

Colombia continue their mini-European tour with a clash against Romania in Madrid just days after beating Spain 1-0 in London. Liverpool star Luis Diaz linked up with Crystal Palace defender Daniel Munoz to edge out La Roja as Colombia roll on. Nestor Lorenzo’s side are unbeaten in their 12 games since the start of 2024, and despite Romania being unbeaten in 11, they have only won once in four away matches.

Germany v Netherlands

International friendly match at the Deutsche Bank Park,  Frankfurt
TV: Viaplay Online, 7:45pm

Germany to win

All eyes will be on Germany ahead of hosting Euro 2024 this summer and Julian Nagelsmann is battling to steady a wobbly ship. After being drafted in to replace Hansi Flick, the former Bayern Munich head coach struggled for results, as the pressure stepped up. However, some serious work behind the scenes at the start of 2024 – including the return of Toni Kroos – culminated in a fantastic 2-0 victory in France last week. That will give German confidence a huge boost against a Netherlands team which still blows hot and cold against the top teams in international football.

Both teams to score

Germany will be hoping got flex in front of their home fans in Frankfurt, but a concerning defensive record at the end of 2023 will not vanish overnight, and the Dutch do carry a goal threat. The win in Lyon was Nagelsmann’s first clean sheet in five attempts and Ronald Koeman’s Netherlands have scored at least once in their last ten successive matches.

France v Chile

International friendly match at the Stade Velodrome,  Marseille
TV: Viaplay Sports Online, 8:00pm

France to win

Germany got the better of France for the second time in less than 12 months last week and Didier Deshamps’ side should be itching to bounce back in ruthless fashion. Those losses to Germany are the only defeats France have suffered since bowing out of the 2022 FIFA World Cup and they will be full of confidence against a Chile team which has won just once in their last five away games.

Kylian Mbappe to score

Mbappe took a break from his constant transfer speculation to captain France to defeat against Germany. With so much news swirling around the PSG star at the moment he will be determined to focusing sticking the ball in the back of the net. He netted nine goals in Euro 2024 qualifying, a total only bettered by Romelu Lukaku (14) and Cristiano Ronaldo (10), and came into the international window on the back of scoring six goals in his last three starts for PSG.

Spain v Brazil

International friendly match at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu,  Madrid
TV: Viaplay Sports Online, 8:30pm

Both teams to score

Spain suffered a shock with their loss to Colombia in London as Brazil showed them how to win just down the road at Wembley. Endrick Felipe’s goal off the bench was enough to edge past England and the Samba Boys will be full of confidence with Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo Goes on home soil for this game. The goals could fly in Madrid, with Spain scoring in six of their last seven matches, and Brazil only drawing a blank in just two of their last seven.
