We’re hurtling towards the business end of the 2023/24 Premier League season now and we’re gearing up for another jam-packed Premier League fixture list with games from Saturday through to Monday night.

There’s no early game on the box on Saturday but Luton host Aston Villa in the evening before Burnley and Bournemouth go at it at the earlier time of 1pm on Sunday. Then it’s the main event this weekend as Manchester United head across town to face their old friends Manchester City and make sure you don’t miss it as it kicks off at 3.30pm.
As is becoming traditional now we’ve also got Monday Night Football to enjoy with Sheffield United putting up the barricades ahead of the visit of the red-hot Arsenal. So, with so much action to get stuck in to, it’s only right that we bring in our resident tipster and Premier League predicting guru, Mark Lawrenson who’s champing at the bit to two-foot a full weekend’s top-flight action.
Saturday 3pm: Brentford v Chelsea
Chelsea have been involved in lots of cup games of late and people seem to have forgotten that they could easily have been 3-0 up against Liverpool in the Carabao Cup final. They’ve started to look a bit better and Brentford got done at West Ham on Monday but, because it’s Chelsea and you never know what you’re going to get, I’ll go for Brentford. Brentford 2-1 Chelsea.
Saturday 3pm: Everton v West Ham
This will see David Moyes going back to Everton and I’m pretty sure he’s hardly ever won there. I’m going to go for Everton to win, they must feel great coming into training and looking forward to the weekend knowing that they’ve got some points back. Dominic Calvert-Lewin hasn’t scored for ages so I’m going for Everton to win and maybe, just maybe, Calvert Lewin will finally score. Everton 2-0 West Ham.
Saturday 3pm: Fulham v Brighton
Brighton got a late equaliser against Everton last weekend and Fulham were great at Manchester United, they fully deserved that victory. I’m going to go for a score draw, I’m not sure what Brighton are up to anymore and they’re away at Roma in the week. Fulham 1-1 Brighton.
Saturday 3pm: Newcastle v Wolves
Wolves have been great and they had that 1-0 win over Sheffield United last week who were fighting amongst themselves. Newcastle were just completely swept aside by Arsenal but Alexander Isak’s back now so I’ll go for a Newcastle win. Newcastle 2-0 Wolves.
Saturday 3pm: Nottingham Forest v Liverpool
I think one or two of the guys who have been injured for Liverpool might be back for this one. Nottingham Forest lost in the FA Cup on Wednesday and at Aston Villa last week. In fairness to Villa they could have been 5-0 up at half time. It’s got to be a Liverpool win. Nottingham Forest 1-2 Liverpool.
Saturday 3pm: Tottenham v Crystal Palace
Crystal Palace and their new manager Oliver Glasner got a big result against Burnley in his first game. This will be a far sterner test. Tottenham 2-0 Crystal Palace.
Saturday 5.30pm: Luton v Aston Villa
TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League
Luton have had an iffy spell and they’re conceding goals but Villa look to be back on form and I think they’ll win. Luton 1-2 Aston Villa.
Sunday 1pm: Burnley v Bournemouth
TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League
Bournemouth have started to slip lately, they had that spell at the start of the season where they couldn’t win and suddenly went on a good run. They’re back to square one now. I think this could be a draw, the result that nobody really wants! Burnley 1-1 Bournemouth.
Sunday 3.30pm: Manchester City v Manchester United
TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League
Manchester United have, generally, got a better record against Manchester City at their place than they do playing them at home. Erling Haaland and Kevin De Bruyne are back firing and they made such a massive difference. It’s a big home win. Manchester City 3-0 Manchester United.
Monday 8pm: Sheffield United v Arsenal
TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League
Sheffield United are all over the place and they’re conceding goals left, right and centre. They’re fighting among themselves and Arsenal will just blow them away, they’ve got great momentum at the moment. Sheffield United 0-3 Arsenal.
