7.45pm: Inter v Genoa
TV: TNT Sport 1
Inter (-2)
The Azzuri are running away from the rest of the pack in Italy. Currently 12 points clear at the top, Inter look set to regain the Serie A title for the first time since 2021. Simeone Inzaghi’s side are on an 11-game winning streak in all competitions, with 4-0 victories in all of their last three games in the league.
Visitors, Genoa find themselves 12th in the table, comfortably clear of any relegation worries, with 18th-placed Sassuolo 13 points behind them. Alberto Gilardino’s side have lost only one of their last four games and will try to make life difficult for the league leaders.
But with the hosts in free-scoring form and rock solid at the back, I can only see this going one way, with Inter winning by a comfortable margin.
7.45pm: Waterford v St Patrick’s
TV: LOITV
Both teams to Score
There’s plenty of action in the Irish Premier League on Monday night, with St Patrick’s Athletic travelling to Waterford for our pick of the bunch. Both sides have experienced a mixed start to the season, with one win in three games each.
The two sides sit 6th and 4th in the league, with Derry City setting the pace at the top with seven points and Drogheda United languishing at the bottom with 0.
St Patrick’s only have one clean sheet so far, while both teams have scored in all of Waterford’s games. It’s hard to look beyond both teams getting on the score sheet in this one.
8pm: Osasuna v Alaves
TV: Viaplay Sports 1
Ante Budimir to Score Anytime
Monday night action from La Liga comes via 2023 Copa del Rey finalists Osasuna. Los Rojillos welcome Alaves to Northern Spain, hoping to climb back into the top half of the table.
The visitors are on a run of three consecutive low-scoring draws, and their last victory came away at winless Almeria in late January.
The hosts boast a healthy three-game unbeaten run, with wins against Real Sociedad and Cadiz. Striker Ante Budimir scored three goals in the two games, and if Osasuna score here, you would expect to see him on the score sheet.
8pm: Sheffield United v Arsenal
TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League
Arsenal (-2)
Mikel Arteta’s side could find themselves playing catch up to league leaders Liverpool once their Monday night kick-off against Sheffield United rolls around. With Liverpool playing Saturday and Manchester City playing Sunday, the Gunners could be five points off the pace.
Despite this, Arsenal are currently in top form, winning their last six league games, five of which were by two goals or more. It offers little hope for hosts Sheffield United, who sit bottom of the Premier League and have lost two of their last four games 5-0. I expect Arsenal to take this one with ease.
Bukayo Saka to Score Anytime
Despite not finding the net in last weekend’s 4-1 win against Newcastle, Bukayo Saka remains Arsenal’s most consistent threat in front of goal.
The England international is the Gunners’ top scorer this season, with 16 in all competitions. If they dominate this game, like most expect them to, then I predict we’ll Saka’s name on the score sheet.
