    Napoli v Juventus

Serie A match at Diego Armando Maradona Stadium, Naples
    TV: TNT Sport 1, 7:45pm

    Napoli to Win

The Serie A champions come into Sunday’s game on a high after a confident 6-1 victory on Wednesday night away at Sassuolo. The result gave new boss Francesco Calzona his first win after he replaced Walter Mazzarri earlier in February.

Napoli have been well off their best form this season, sitting ninth in Serie A, 29 points behind leaders Inter. However, they looked to have turned a corner on Wednesday and will want to continue with a good result against Juventus.

The visitors have been in recent poor form. Despite being second in the table, they have won only one of their last five, the win coming from a last-minute winner against Frosinone last Sunday. I expect Napoli to take advantage of those frailties and win this one.

    Victor Oshimen to Score Anytime

The striker returned to his best on Wednesday, grabbing a hat trick to help lead his side to victory. The Nigeria international has not quite hit the heights of last season, but his recent performance will give him confidence coming into this game.

He grabbed a brace in this fixture last year as Napoli went on to win 5-1. A similar performance is not out of the question here, and I can see him getting on the score sheet.

        Lyon v Lens

Ligue 1 match at Groupama Stadium, Lyon
        TV: TNT Sport 2, 7:45pm

        Lyon to Win

After a dismal start to the season, Lyon have kicked on since the turn of the year, winning six of their last seven games in all competitions.

Manager Pierre Sage has won 10 of his 15 Ligue 1 games since he took the reigns in November. The improved form has taken them up from the relegation zone into the top 10, ten points behind the European spots.

Visitors Lens have not had the best fortune in the last two weeks. After being eliminated by Freiburg in the Europa League, they succumbed to a last-minute 3-2 defeat to Monaco last Sunday. It will be a challenging task for them to get a result away to Lyon, and I can see the hosts just nicking it.

        Athletic Bilbao v Barcelona

La Liga match at the San Mames Arena, Bilbao
        TV:  Viaplay Sports 1, 8pm

        Both Teams to Score

Athletic Club have enjoyed a historic week. The club reached the 2024 Copa del Rey final after making short work of Atletico Madrid in a 3-0 win (4-0 on aggregate). Ernesto Valverde’s players will be on a high going into this weekend’s game, with the Williams brothers in great form. The San Mames Arena will be electric for the arrival of Barcelona.

The La Liga Champions have not been able to replicate last season’s dominance this term. They sit third in the table, eight points behind leaders Real Madrid, and two behind Girona. Xavi’s men hope to take advantage of the hosts, who may be on the beach after Wednesday’s result, but it will be difficult to claim all three points. I expect both teams to get on the score sheet.

        FC Porto v Benfica

Primeira Liga Portugal match at the Estadio do Dragao, Porto
        TV: GolTV, 8:30pm

        Under 2.5 Goals

The two Portuguese heavyweights meet at a critical point in the season as the visitors look to steal a march ahead of Sporting in the race for the title. Porto can only play the role of spoilers at this point, as they sit nine points off the pace.

Both sides boast strong defences, conceding less than 20 goals in the 23 games played this season. Three of the last four meetings between the two have ended 1-0, and in their current form, it’s hard to see anything vastly different happening on Sunday evening. I predict there to be less than 2.5 goals.
