Chelsea to win
The FA Cup fifth round is back this week and amongst the big games on offer for us is Chelsea v Leeds. The West London club are licking their wounds after that defeat to Liverpool in the Carabao Cup final while Leeds are in red hot form and fresh from beating Leicester last week.
While a lot of the debate since the Carabao Cup final has been focused on officiating or proclaiming Jurgen Klopp’s brilliance, the reality is that it was Chelsea who were largely the better team in the game.
We’ve seen some disjointed performances from Chelsea under Mauricio Pochettino but a home game against Championship opposition gives him and his team the perfect platform to make a statement and get back to business. Expect Chelsea to Win here.
Both teams to score
When Leeds play at their maximum level they are the best team in the Championship. They have immense pace in their forward positions and as we know well, speed kills. They’ve scored in all but six of their 34 Championship games.
Chelsea have given up 41 goals in 25 Premier League games and Both Teams to Score has landed in 64% of their league games all season long. After a long game at Wembley on Sunday there could be some tired legs too, something which only increases the chances of Leeds’ pacy frontline netting and Both Teams To Score clicking.
Cole Palmer to have 2 or more shots on target
There are a number of Chelsea players who have a right to feel annoyed after losing in Sunday’s final but Cole Palmer perhaps has a better argument that most. He was very good for Chelsea and he took three shots, with two ending up on target.
He’s averaged 2.3 shots per game in the Premier League and has consistently been Chelsea’s most dangerous player in attacking positions. Chelsea should win this game and if they do then it’s likely Cole Palmer has been instrumental so I fancy him to Have 2 Or More Shots on Target.
Cole Palmer to Score Anytime
Not only will Cole Palmer pepper the goal but we’re going to double down on the former Man City man and back him to score too. He leads the club in goals with 10 in 21 Premier League games.
He’s been on a bit of a quiet streak recently with his last goal being against Wolves at the start of February but Leeds aren’t used to playing players of his quality and he should cause them serious issues. Palmer to Score Anytime is next up.
Ethan Ampadu to Commit 1 or More Fouls
Finally to wrap up our Bet Builder we’re going to back former Chelsea man Ethan Ampadu to Commit 1 or More Fouls. The Welshman has been fantastic at Leeds since his move from Chelsea in the summer. He’s been integral in their performances this season and does an important job screening the defence.
He’s averaged 1.1 fouls per game in the Championship and here, against a team of far more quality than they face each week, he’s going to commit at least one. Not to mention the extra incentive of facing the team who deemed him not good enough and sold him.
