We’re hurtling towards the business end of the 2023/24 Premier League season now and we’re gearing up for another full Premier League weekend fixture list. The action kicks off on Saturday with Brentford tackling Liverpool in west London with their talisman Ivan Toney back and firing on all cylinders. There’s five 3pm games before the juicy Manchester City v Chelsea match up at 5.30pm.

We’ve just the two games on Sunday and both are on Sky Sports with Sheffield United v Brighton followed by Luton hosting the mighty Manchester United. And, to round it all off, we’ve got Monday Night Football to enjoy once again as the under-pressure duo of Everton and Crystal Palace do battle on Merseyside.

So, with so much action to get stuck in to, it’s only right that we bring in our resident tipster and Premier League predicting guru, Mark Lawrenson who’s champing at the bit to two-foot a full weekend’s top-flight action.

Saturday 12.30pm: Brentford v Liverpool

TV: TNT Sport 1 and TNT Sport Ultimate

I thought Brentford would win at Wolves because Wolves were due a loss. Liverpool just took control against Burnley in the second half and Burnley just can’t defend. I think this will be really tight. I might go for a low-scoring draw here. I’ve spoken about momentum a lot and I think Brentford have it now. Brentford 1-1 Liverpool.

Saturday 3pm: Burnley v Arsenal

I’ve just mentioned Burnley’s obvious flaws so I can’t see anything other than a big away win. It’s a test for Arsenal because they are expected to win and we’ll see if they can cope with that but I see them winning comfortably. Burnley 0-3 Arsenal.

Saturday 3pm: Fulham v Aston Villa

Aston Villa have had some poor results and I talk about the ups and downs of Premier League football all the times. They’ve just started conceding soft goals and they’ve got one or two injuries so I fancy a home win. Fulham were always going to turn the corner, especially at home, because they’ve got one or two really good players. Fulham 2-1 Aston Villa.

Saturday 3pm: Newcastle v Bournemouth

Newcastle had a really good win at Nottingham Forest in a really entertaining game last week so I’ll go for them here. It looks like they’re going to kick on, the injuries other than Nick Pope don’t seem too bad. They squad’s quite deep so I’d expect them to win and Bournemouth have just dropped off a bit. Newcastle 2-0 Bournemouth.

Saturday 3pm: Nottingham Forest v West Ham

West Ham just capitulated against Arsenal and I know they’re missing what is probably their best player in Lucas Paqueta who’s injured. Nottingham Forest, in all honesty, were a little but unlucky against Newcastle so I’m going to go for a draw. If I could choose any game to be at this weekend it would not be this one! Nottingham Forest 1-1 West Ham.

Saturday 3pm: Tottenham v Wolves

Wolves lost last time and the 2-0 scoreline could have been worse because Brentford were really good. I’m going to back Tottenham here. The way they start in games, I can’t see Wolves holding them off in the first 20 minutes and then the game’s completely different if you’re a goal down early on. Tottenham 2-0 Wolves.

Saturday 5.30pm: Manchester City v Chelsea

TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League

Chelsea were abysmal in the first half against Crystal Palace on Monday and they obviously changed something around which was clever from Mauricio Pochettino’s point of view. They won comfortably in the end. I watched Manchester City play Copenhagen in the Champions League the other night and they could have had six, seven or eight so they’re in great form. I fancy City to win this one. Manchester City 2-0 Chelsea.

Sunday 2pm: Sheffield United v Brighton

TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League

Sheffield United had that big win at Luton last time and Brighton have been very up and down, not particularly convincing. Because Roberto De Zerbi’s back in the dugout I’ll back them to win. Sheffield United 1-2 Brighton.

Sunday 4.30pm: Luton v Manchester United

TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League

I think Manchester United could put together a bit of a run now. They’re not completely convincing and they can look really ragged at times but they managed to sneak past Aston Villa with that great, thumping header late on. Luton 0-2 Manchester United.

Monday 8pm: Everton v Crystal Palace

TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League

Crystal Palace were a little bit unlucky against Chelsea, they scored that wonder goal but just couldn’t hold on. We know they’re without their two best players so I’m going to back Everton with their home advantage. Everton 2-1 Crystal Palace.
