    Burnley welcome Fulham to Turf Moor on Saturday as both sides go in search of their first win in 2024. The Clarets sit seven points from safety on their return to the Premier League but will view this match as an opportunity to kickstart their surge for survival.

    Fulham have struggled to pick up points themselves of late and are winless in their last ten away games in the competition. The Cottagers also have a dismal record in Lancashire, having failed to win any of their previous 28 meetings with Burnley at Turf Moor.

    The last time these sides met, Burnley claimed maximum points at Craven Cottage thanks to a 2-0 win and the records suggest they could be a handful for Marco Silva’s side once again in this clash.

    Lyle Foster To Score Or Assist

    Despite only playing just over half of Burnley’s Premier League matches this season, Lyle Foster has been involved in more goals than anyone in Vincent Kompany’s squad. The South African international has grabbed four goals and three assists, including one to set up his teammate Wilson Odobert to finish in the reverse fixture at Craven Cottage.

    In a match that’ll be viewed as a massive opportunity for the Clarets to get themselves vital points, expect Foster to make an impact.

        Willian To Have A Shot On Target

        You can’t underestimate the quality that Fulham winger Willan has in his locker. The two-time Premier League winner is a constant threat for the Cottagers as he looks to link up with attacking full-back Anthony Robinson down the left-hand channel.

        Willian has found the net on five occasions in all competitions this season, making him the joint top scorer at the club and he’ll look to test young James Trafford in the Burnley goal throughout this match.

        Over 2.5 Cards

        With both sides desperate to finally end their winless runs, things could get competitive in all aspects. Referees have been dishing out cards regularly during encounters involving Fulham, with over 2.5 cards being shown in six of the last seven Premier League fixtures involving the Cottagers.

        Burnley top the charts when it comes to red cards received and I’m expecting Darren Bond to stamp down his authority in this one.

        The alarm bells must’ve been ringing for Marco Silva as he dipped into the transfer market on deadline day to secure the services of striker Armando Broja from Chelsea to bolster the attack.

        The last time these sides met Fulham didn’t find the back of the net, but they did have five shots on target and will certainly give it a go once more against this Burnley side.
