Tuesday’s Football Betting Tips

Gambia v Cameroon

Gambia have no chance of qualifying for the Last 16 thanks to their two losses but Cameroon on just one point after their two games could land in second should Guinea lose to Senegal and Cameroon win here but at least three goals, or they could squeeze in as one of the highest ranked third-placed teams. Time will tell.

Gambia have lost all four of their most recent games and we don’t see that changing. Cameroon should be taking the win here against such inferior opposition.

With that in mind though, they’re unlikely to make things easy on themselves, which is the default setting of this Cameroon side. They’ve conceded in all but two of their last 12 fixtures and while Gambia having failed to hit the net yet, we don’t see them going home without scoring.

Guinea v Senegal

Senegal have already booked their place in the Last 16 although they’ll still want to finish top of the group. Guinea have one foot in the next round, they can afford to lose here but a goal so long as Cameroon don’t smash Gambia 0-3 in their game. They’ve won three of their last five games, scoring six times.

Senegal have scored a rather healthy 11 over their last five so both should be scoring at least one here.

We have to give the nod to Senegal though, they’re favourites to win the competition for a reason after all. They’ve won five of their last six fixtures and in scoring at least three goals in three of their last five games they should be outsourcing the opponents.

Sadio Mane to Score 927.260484067, 16257823

Former Liverpool forward Sadio Mane has three goals over his last six appearances in a Senegalese shirt and has bagged 11 goals for Al Nassr so far this season too. We reckon he’ll be adding to his impressive tally of 68 international goals.

      Angola v Burkina Faso

      Group D match at Stade Charles Konan Banny de Yamoussoukro, Yamoussoukro

      Going a bit against the market here but there’s value to be had. Burkina Faso were unlucky not to take three points from their draw with Algeria on Saturday last and we’ve seen Both Teams to Score landing in five of their last seven fixtures.

      Angola aren’t really fancied here but also held Algeria to a draw in their opening fixtures and bagged three goals against Mauritania in their last game. With both teams on four points and Algeria on two, both teams will be going for the win, so Both Teams to Score has plenty of value.

      Burkina Faso to Win

      We can’t really argue with Burkina Faso’s recent results, however. They’ve won three of their last five, drawing one, and losing one whale Angola have won just one of their last five. With nine goals over their last five too, we should see Faso outsourcing Angola and taking the three points.

      Mauritania v Algeria

      Group D match at Stade de Bouake, Bouake
      TV: Sky Sports Mix, 8pm

      Both Teams to Score

      Mauritania could possibly make it to the next round but they’re going to have to beat a very-fancied Algeria to do so. They’ve lost both of their games so far but gave a good go of it against Angola in their last match, losing 2-3.

      Algeria have been underwhelming in both of their draws thus far but in scoring 12 over their last five you’d expect them to score here. Mauritania, however, have only scored in one of their last four games and we don’t see them getting one here.

      Baghdad Bounedjah to Score

      Baghdad Bounedja has scored five goals over his last five for the national side and sitting alone at the top of Algeria’s 4-5-1 formation he’s their main goal-scoring threat. He should continue his fine goal-scoring form and see Algeria claiming the three points.

      Riyad Mahrez to have 1 or more Shots on Target 

      Former Man City player Riyad Mahrez has a very good record on the international stage with 31 goals over 71 senior appearances for Algeria. They should see plenty of the ball today and with Mahrez cutting in from the left, he should be getting at least one shot on target here.
