Football Accumulator Tips: Our tasty 19/1 acca for Saturday’s 3pm EFL games

Our tipster Colin Harvey runs the rule over a packed Football League schedule.

Saturday’s football acca tips

QPR v Millwall – Millwall (+1)
Sheffield Wednesday v Coventry – Coventry to Win
Lincoln v Derby – Derby to Win
Peterborough v Shrewsbury – Peterborough (-1)
Newport v Wrexham – Wrexham to Win

QPR v Millwall – Millwall (+1)

We’ll kick off our Saturday 3pm EFL acca in west London for an all-capital Championship affair as Millwall make the short trip to QPR. The Hoops are in dire straits and sit second-bottom of the second tier with no win in their last seven league games.

The Lions have picked up of late and have risen to 16th on the back of three wins in their last four. Surprisingly, given the backing they get at The Den, they’ve taken more points on the road this season with 17 from 13 away and 15 from 14 games on home turf.

As mentioned QPR are in eye-watering form overall and they’re not getting any comfort at Loftus Road with a league-worst haul of nine points from 13 matches. With The Lions having the 7th-best away record in the second tier we’ll back them get at least a point with Millwall (+1).

Sheffield Wednesday v Coventry – Coventry to Win

Our second Championship match sees struggling Sheffield Wednesday welcome Coventry to Hillsborough. The Owls are one place and one point above QPR but have won two of their last five and have some hope of getting out of their predicament.

Their visitors, however, are in blistering form and have not lost since December 2nd, winning five and drawing three, with two of those draws coming at home. It’s form Wednesday shouldn’t be able to cope with so I’ll keep this brief and put a big tick next to Coventry to Win.

Lincoln v Derby – Derby to Win

We dip down in to League One now where Derby head to Lincoln. The Rams are on the rise and are up to third, only out of the automatic places on goals scored behind Peterborough.

Lincoln have sunk to 12th but are in freefall and these two could hardly be in more contrasting form. Derby have lost just once in their last 12 third tier matches, drawing one and winning the other 10.

The Imps surely stand little chance of resisting a battering from The Rams as they’ve won one of the last nine in League One, drawing four and losing the other four. Derby boast the best away record in the league as well with a whopping 28 points taken from 13 days out. I’m backing Derby to Win and to make that 31 from 14.

    Peterborough v Shrewsbury – Peterborough (-1)

We mentioned The Posh a minute ago and if you’re looking for my NAP of the weekend they are it. But we can bolt on a little value by backing Peterborough (-1) in the handicaps.

We know they’re second in League one and they host the toothless Shrewsbury on Saturday. The Shrews are down in 17th and have scored just 17 goals in 27 matches, the lowest of anyone in the division.

Peterborough have scored 52 in 26 which makes them the most lethal team in the third tier. If back to their best they should be winning this comfortably so Peterborough (-1) looks very handy.

Newport v Wrexham – Wrexham to Win

We’ll finish in League Two where the Hollywood boyos from Wrexham head south to take on salt-of-the-earth Newport in an all-Welsh clash. The Dragons are soaring high in second place in the fourth tier while The Exiles are down in 17th, though they are a long way clear of the threat of relegation.

Wrexham’s best form has come at The Racecourse but I still fancy them to take the bragging rights here. They’ve won 11 of their last 15 games in a formidable run that County can only dream of.

Graham Coughlan’s crew have a middling home record and have won two of their last seven League Two engagements. This might well be close but I’m backing Wrexham to come out on top one way or another.
