    Chelsea v Fulham
Premier League match at Stamford Bridge, London, 12:30pm
    TV: TNT Sports

    Both Teams to Score

Both Chelsea and Fulham come into this derby on the back of defeats in the first leg of the League Cup semi-final. Both sides will rue missed chances and will be looking to get back to winning ways in this West London Derby on Saturday afternoon.

Chelsea had won three games in a row in all competitions prior to their defeat against Middlesbrough and now face a Fulham side that has endured a topsy turvy few weeks.

Marco Silva’s side began December with successive 5-0 wins over Nottingham Forest and West Ham before losing three games on the spin without scoring a goal. They subsequently defeated Arsenal at Craven Cottage before giving Liverpool a real run for their money at Anfield in their League Cup semi-final first leg, with a 1-0 win over Rotherham in the FA Cup sandwiched in between.

It makes predicting their games incredibly difficult, but Fulham have now failed to keep a clean sheet in their last five games against Premier League opposition, while they have not kept an away clean sheet against a Premier League club since September.

Chelsea, on the other hand, have kept just one league clean sheet in their last 12 games and boast the second-worst defensive record in the top ten after Brighton. Both sides will be confident of scoring on Saturday.

Chelsea to Receive the Most Cards

Chelsea may be likely to dominate possession in front of their own supporters, but that may not prevent them from picking up the most cards on Saturday. Mauricio Pochettino’s side boast by far the worst disciplinary record in the Premier League, collecting 58 bookings and three sending offs in their opening 20 games of the season.

Fulham, meanwhile, do not boast a brilliant disciplinary record and sit 13th in the league’s disciplinary table, but their record is far better than Chelsea. Silva’s side have amassed 44 bookings and three red cards so far this season, 14 cards fewer than their West London rivals.
The Cottagers also commit the third-lowest number of fouls per game in the Premier League this season.

        Chelsea – Corner Match Bet

Chelsea will almost certainly dominate possession and territory at Stamford Bridge on Saturday. Pochettino’s side boast the sixth-highest average possession in the Premier League this season, averaging 59.7% per game.

That is almost 10% higher than Fulham’s average of 50.1% per game. With the backing of their own fans, it wouldn’t be surprising if the Blues pushed closer to 70% on Saturday afternoon.

Chelsea are also likely to have far more shots than Fulham, considering Marco Silva’s side have attempted the sixth-fewest shots in the division this season. With possession and shot statistics in their favour, they should shade the corner match bet.

Cole Palmer to have 2 or more Shots on Target

Cole Palmer could have had a hattrick in Chelsea’s midweek defeat to Middlesbrough but uncharacteristically passed up a number of gilt-edged opportunities. Palmer has been in excellent form of late, scoring four goals and assisting three in his last eight appearances in all competitions.

He averages the joint-most shots per game of any Chelsea player, attempting 2.4 shots per Premier League game. Palmer has attempted 12 shots in his four games and is highly likely to try his luck on a number of occasions on Saturday afternoon.

Fulham to have 4 or more Shots on Target

In their last six league games, Chelsea have faced 28 efforts on goal, including an outlier of a game against Sheffield United at home when they face just one effort on target. In their other five games in that period, Chelsea faced a minimum of five shots on target per game, facing a total of 17 in their three most recent games against Luton, Palace, and Wolves.

Fulham, meanwhile, average slightly higher than four shots on target per game and are likely to cause Chelsea significant problems on Saturday. The Cottagers have registered 30 shots on target in their last six league games and are decent value to find the target at least four times on Saturday.
