Both Teams to Score

This should be an interesting one, not in the grand scheme of things we’ll admit but purely based on the fact that both sides will be under the tutelage of their new managers, Tony Mowbury and Luke Williams respectively. Mowbury is, of course, well known up and down the country for his style of play while Williams might be lesser known but in his previous job ran Nott County close in the promotion push that was won out by Hollywood’s Wrexham.

Back to this game. City have won none of Wayne Rooney’s last six games in charge, drawing three and losing three while on home soil have won one, drawn two and lost two, scoring five and conceding seven.

The Swans are in far better shape, winning three of their last five in all competitions, drawing one and losing one while on the road in the Championship have won just one, drawing two, and losing two, scoring six and conceding 12. With such leaky defences and both sides aiming to impress their new head bottle washers, we backing Both Teams to Score.

Cardiff v Leeds

Cardiff City Stadium, Cardiff

Leeds to Win

Cardiff City were on the wrong end of a 4-0 thrashing away to Sheffield Wednesday in the FA Cup last weekend but have won two, drawn one and lost two over their last five in the league. On home soil, things are a tad worse with one win, one drawn and three losses, scoring just three goals while conceding six.

Leeds have won three and lost two of their last five, away from home in the Championship, things aren’t great with just one win, one draw and three losses but in scoring 11 over their last five against a Cardiff side that seems to have forgotten you need goals to win games, we’re siding with Daniel Farke’s Leeds.

      Millwall v Middlesbrough

      The Den, London

      Over 2.5 Goals

Middlesbrough will still be on a high following their 1-0 win over Chelsea in the first leg of their League Cup semi-final. They’ve won two and lost three of their last five overall while on their Championship travels share the same results.

Millwall have won three, drawn one, and lost one of their last five while on home soil have won two, drawn two, and lost one, scoring five and conceding five. With Boro among the goals too, scoring eight over their last five, Over 2.5 Goals has the value here.

      Southampton v Sheffield Wednesday

      St Mary’s Stadium, Southampton

Southampton to Win & Both Teams to Score

Southampton are in great form, they’ve now gone 19 games without defeat in all competitions and have won four and drawn one of their last five. At home in the league, they’ve won seven on the bounce so you’d have to fancy them to take the three points.

Sheffield Wednesday though have now won three in a row, putting Preston and Hull to the sword in the league and demolishing Cardiff 4-0 in the FA Cup, scoring eight over those three games so should be hitting the target here. Southampton to Win & Both Teams to Score has a price we just cannot ignore.

      West Brom v Blackburn

      The Hawthorns, West Bromwich

      Both Teams to Score

West Brom have won three and lost two of their last five fixtures, while at home in the Championship have won three, drawn one, and lost one, scoring six and conceding three.

Blackburn have been pretty bad on the road of late in the league, winning one and losing four, scoring six and conceding an eye-watering 13. While the Baggies should edge it based on that form, Rovers have scored nine goals over their last three games so Both Teams to Score has the better value.
