Liverpool v Fulham
Carabao Cup semi-final game at Anfield, Liverpool, 8pm
TV: Sky Sports Football & Main Event
Both Teams to Score
Liverpool are quite short odds to take the victory here, the Reds have won four of their last five fixtures, drawing the other one while Fulham have won two, drawn one, winning it on penalties, and lost two.
Fulham will take some confidence from the fact that Jurgen Klopp’s side have conceded in four of their last five played at Anfield and the Cottagers have scored five over their last five on their travels so we have to start off with a Both Teams to Score pick.
Over 3.5 Goals
We’re beginning to get used to seeing Liverpool have to work for their wins. Of their last three games Burnley parked the bus and Klopp’s side have to huff and puff, Newcastle very much frustrated them until a triple substitution by the German changed the game while Arsenal went toe-to-toe with them on Saturday in the FA Cup.
Liverpool are finding a way though and have scored 14 over their last five fixtures and 14 over their last five at Anfield. We’re likely looking at a 3-1 or above scoreline so Over 3.5 Goals has the value.
Diogo Jota to Score
Colombia’s Luis Diaz put the nail in the coffin on Saturday evening at the Emirate Stadium against the Gunners. With Mohamed Salah off preparing for the AFCON, Liverpool’s forwards have to step up and deliver. Portugal’s Diogo Jota should be involved here, he was one of the difference makers against Newcastle and helped turn the tide against Arsenal on Saturday too, setting up Diaz in the final stages.
The Portuguese has five Premier League goals this season but loves a cup goal, scoring one in the League Cup and three over his three European appearances and we reckon he’ll add to his tally against a Cottagers side who have conceded 14 over their last five on the road.

AC Milan v Atalanta
Coppa Italia match at the San Siro, Milan, 8pm
TV: TNT Sports
AC Milan to Win
AC Milan are pretty comfortable in third position with six points between themselves and Fiorentina in fourth. With four wins now over their last five games, they’ll be eager to cut the deficit on Juventus who are seven points ahead of them in seventh.
On home soil, they’ve won four on the bounce and face an Atlanta side who have won just one of their last five away games and have only won in one of their last five visits to the Rossinieri. We’re backing AC Milan to Win.
Over 2.5 Goals
The sides played out a cracking 3-2 when they faced off in the league in Bergamo. Milan have scored at least two goals in five of their six games since with Olivier Giroud in particular looking sharp again and very much enjoying his football.
The away side won’t make it easy and have themselves scored six over their last five on their travels so we reckon we’re going to see Over 2.5 Goals land.
Benfica v Braga
Tace de Portugal game at the Estadio do Sport Lisboa e Benfica, Lisbon, 8:45pm
Benfica to Win
The hosts are on a great run of form of late, going undefeated over their last 10 games, winning their last five in a row. They’ve won nine of their last 10 home Taca games too and with Braga winning just one of their last 10 visits to Lisbon to face the hosts, we simply have to back Benfica the win.
