West Brom v Aldershot – West Brom Half Time
Nottingham Forest v Blackpool – Chris Wood to Score

The oldest and most celebrated domestic cup competition on the planet, the FA Cup, is back this week and we have a tasty mult-match Bet Builder for you to get stuck into on Sunday. Seven games are kicking off at 2pm before that big Arsenal vs Liverpool game and I’ve scoured all the markets to find the best Acca for those early games.

    Shrewsbury v Wrexham

    Paul Mullin to Score

First up we have one of the most interesting matches not featuring a top-flight team with Shrewsbury vs Wrexham. Shrewsbury are firmly mid-table in League One but they welcome the visit of Wrexham, third in the tier below, and with eyes on achieving big things.

At the heart of Wrexham’s rise through the leagues, besides the money, of course, is Paul Mullin. The Liverpudlian fired the club into League Two and despite starting the season injured he’s already bagged nine league goals, with a record better than one in two. He’s scored in his past two games against Walsall and Barrow and will fancy himself to score against Shrewsbury.

    Man City v Huddersfield

Jack Rudoni to Commit 1 or more Fouls

From one end of the spectrum to another and this time the treble-winning, world champions, Man City face Huddersfield at home. This feels like a David vs Goliath type of fixture, despite Huddersfield being a Championship team. With City being short-priced favourites we’ve had to dig deeper to find value.

We’re backing Huddersfield midfielder Jack Rudoni to commit 1 or more fouls. Through 18 games this season, he’s picked up five yellow cards and has been averaging 1.4 fouls per game in the heart of the midfield. He’s been up against some talented midfield players in the Championship but that won’t have prepared the 22-year-old for some of the talent he’s about to face and I can’t see him not committing a single foul against the like of Phil Foden.

        Peterborough v Leeds

        Leeds to Win

Leeds are comfortably the most frustrating team in the Championship. They’ve only won 14 of their 26 games this season, splitting the other 12 equally between draws and losses. It’s frustrating because when they’re on song there is nobody in the league with an attack as good as them.

The pace and directness in the Leeds attack is terrifying and even if they rotate slightly here then it’s still going to see pace replace pace. Peterborough are third in League One and playing well but this is a step up and I expect Leeds to Win.

        West Brom v Aldershot

        West Brom Half Time

When West Brom drew Aldershot you can tell that Baggies fans were already starting to look forward to that fourth-round draw. There’ll always be upsets in the FA Cup but it’s very hard to see a giant killing here.

WBA are sat in the playoff spots in the Championship while the visitors Aldershot are three rungs lower down the pyramid and even then they are just eighth in the National League. They’ve given up 47 goals in the National League and with a defence like that, the second worst in the top half, I expect West Brom to be leading by halftime at the Hawthorns.

        Nottingham Forest v Blackpool

        Chris Wood to Score

Nuno Espirito Santo already looks to have had a positive impact on Nottingham Forest with them performing brilliantly since the Portuguese took charge. One person who has looked really good under the new manager is Chris Wood.

The New Zealand international has been fortunate that Taiwo Awoniyi has been injured but he’s been superb as the starter. In the past three games for Forest he’s scored four, assisted one more and bullied Manchester United at times last week. The 32-year-old is in a purple patch and will be confident of finding the back of the net against League One Blackpool.
