Romelu Lukaku to Score
Romelu Lukaku has nearly as many goals this season as he managed for Inter in the last campaign. The Belgian striker has eight in the Serie A, as well as five in six in the Europa League. He also have four over his last five at home for the Romans so there’s some excellent value in his price to rattle the net against Serie B opposition.
Roma -1
Roma’s overall form might put you off backing them to win here. They’ve won just two of their last five fixtures, drawing one and losing two but their home form has been outstanding. Jose Mourinho’s side have won nine of their last 10 at the Stadio Olimpico, drawing the other one, and have won three of their last four games by at least two goals.
Cremonese are chasing Serie B promotion and while a good cup run would be welcome, they have bigger fish to be frying. Their away form of two wins, one draw, and two losses isn’t bad but they’ve all been in the second tier. Roma should be winning here but at least two goals.

Girona v Atletico Madrid
- La Liga match at the Estadi Municipal de Montilivi, Girona, 8:30pm (TV: Viaplay)
Over 2.5 Goals
It’s neck and neck between Girona and Real Madrid at the top of the La Liga table with Real ahead thanks to a seven-goal superior goal difference. Real have conceded just 11 goals over their 18 games while Girona have conceded 21. Atletico are sitting in third, seven points behind so they have to go all out here.
Both teams have been in robust goal-scoring form, scoring 42 and 36 goals respectively, scoring 12 and six over their last five respective home/away La Liga games. We should certainly see both scoring but with just five draws over their combined 36 league clashes, we cannot see this one ending level. We’re backing Over 2.5 Goals.
Antoine Griezmann to Score
Like a fine chardonnay from the Macon region, Antoine Griezmann only shows signs of improvement with age. He has 11 goals in 18 La Liga appearances this season, as well as five in six in the Champions League. With four goals over his last five on the road in the league and two over his last four overall games, there’s plenty of value in his price to add to his tally.

Girona are bottom of the La Liga Fair Play table with 39 yellow cards, Athletic have had 36 but have an additional three red cards. The hosts have picked up three bookings in two of their last four at home and, as well all know, Atletico are masters of the dark arts, both picking when it comes to breaking up opposition play and in drawing fouls.
Diego Simeone’s side have witnessed 15 bookings for their opponents over their last five away league games and with so much on the line here we reckon tempers will be flaring, so we’re backing the hosts to pick up 3 Cards or more.
