Sunday 2pm: Luton v Manchester City
Premier League match at Kenilworth Road
TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League

Luton are great at home, they gave Liverpool a bloody nose and Arsenal needed that last-minute winner to beat them the other day.

It’s just a really difficult place to go, the pitch is small and it’s made even smaller by the surroundings.

Manchester City were dominated statistically by Aston Villa on Wednesday and, how worrying is it for them that if Rodri doesn’t play and they don’t look like a team?

Erling Haaland looks like he’s lost a bit of confidence but it’s Luton and we know what they’re like.

I expect Manchester City to create enough chances to win 2-0.

This feels like an FA Cup tie where, yes they’re in the same division, but Luton have got nothing to lose. No-one’s taken them apart at home, they’ve not lost by more than one goal this season at Kenilworth Road.

Burnley won there but they’ve faced some of the big boys at home. Rodri’s back so I think City will win but only by a narrow scoreline. Teams won’t be going there and winning 4-0, 5-0 – not even City.

It’s such a difficult place to play, you feel like you’re hemmed in as a player and you don’t feel like you’ve got as much time as you would normally have on a bigger pitch.

That’s a real bonus for them and they’re using it extremely well.

They’re impressive and they break really quickly. I’d love them to stay up, I’m not sure that they will but they give everybody a really difficult game.

City don’t usually give you many opportunities to hurt them but that won’t worry Luton much because they’re used to teams going there, having lots of the ball, but not scoring too many against them. Jacob Brown is in good form and he’s definitely the most likely player to hit City on the break even if I don’t think they’ll score.

There’s be plenty of cards in this. When you walk out of the changing room the last thing the manger will be telling the players is that they’re in for a scrap here.

It would be nice to play flowing football but if you win the first ball you might have to win the second ball as well. Luton will pile balls into the box and give them a real test. They’re physical without being over physical.

Arsenal won there the other day but they only just won and that might be the case for City here. Luton will just give you 90 minutes of sheer hell and if the players don’t fancy it, it’s a real struggle.

I don’t think Erling Haaland will score here. The chances he missed against Spurs, well, he should have scored them. I looked at it and wondered if he’s going through a little patch where he’s over thinking it. The best goal scorers don’t think about it, however it comes they just put it away.

All of a sudden he’s thinking about it and that split second makes all the difference. We’ve never seen him have a proper barren run, he’s gone two without scoring now and I think he’s just snatching a little bit. I’d bet that he doesn’t score at Kenilworth Road. You watch, he’ll go and score five now!

I fancy Julian Alvarez to have an impact. He sneakily scores loads of goals and no-one really notices him. He’s made himself into someone who can play off a big centre forward.
