Monza v Juventus
U-Power Stadium, Monza, 7:45pm
TV: TNT Sports
Both Teams to Score, No
Juventus looked pretty happy with their 1-1 draw last weekend against Inter in the Derby D’Italia. Without the distraction of European football, despite being two points behind Inter at the summit of the Serie A standings, you’d have to expect the best is yet to come from the Old Lady this season.
They’ve won five of their last six games, drawing the other one and kept four clean sheets over those six games. On their travels, they’ve won three, drawn one and lost one, keeping four clean sheets.
Monza have scored six over their last five and five over their last five at home but it’s that record of Juventus clean sheets that’s really jumping out at us here. Juve recently shut out both AC Milan, Fiorentina and Atalanta over their last three away games. If they can keep a clean sheet against those, they can also keep Monza scoreless.
Juventus to Win
In winning five of their last six you’d have to side with the away team here. Monza have won just one of their last five in Serie A.
Granted Monza have been a bit of a thorn for Juve since their promotion to the top tier but Juve are beginning to shift up the gears and while they’re not the finished article they’re back to winning most of their games by a goal now and that’s exactly what Massimo Allegri is all about.

Preston v QPR
Deepdale, Preston, 8pm
TV: Sky Sports Football
Both Teams to Score
Preston are going to be eager to get their 4-0 drubbing away to Middlesbrough out of their system here. They also lost to Cardiff City in their last home game, although that was to two very late Cardiff goals.
The Lillywhites have scored six over their last five fixtures and seven over their last five at home.
QPR endured an awful run of five defeats in October but have won one, drawn two and lost one since. They bagged four goals at home to Stoke last weekend and against a Preston side who’ve conceded 11 over their last five on home turf you’d have to expect them to score here.
Preston to Win
It’s both Preston’s superior goalscoring record and QPR’s bad away record that’s swinging us towards a home win. The hosts have, as mentioned, scored seven over their last five at home in the Championship while Rangers have drawn one and lost four on the road of late.
Reims v Strasbourg
Stade Auguste-Delaune II, Reims
TV: TNT Sports
Reims to Win
Results aren’t great for both sides it must be said but with just three points over their last five Ligue Un games for Strasbourg, as well as just four goals scored you’d have to side with the hosts here.
Reims have won two, drawn one and lost two of their last five while the away team have scored just twice over their last five league excursions. It won’t make for pretty viewing this one but the hosts should edge it.
Las Palmas v Getafe
Estadio de Gran Canaria, Gran Canaria
TV: Viaplay
Over 1.5 Goals
Las Palmas have won two, drawn one and lost two of their last five La Liga fixtures, scoring five goals. At home, they’ve won three, drawn one and lost one, scoring five as well.
Getafe are unbeaten over their last eight La Liga games but only two of those were victories. On their league jaunts they’ve drawn four and lost one of late, scoring seven goals while conceding nine.
We should probably see both teams scoring here but let’s take a wee bit of cover in case this ends in a 2-0 for either side, we’re backing Over 1.5 Goals.
