AEK Athens v Brighton

Europa League

Both Teams to Score

Brighton were given a harsh European lesson when these sides met in the reverse fixture, losing 2-3 on home soil. Since then however, the hosts have picked up just a point from their three games while Brighton have beaten Ajax twice and drew away to Marseille.

The hosts are in the better form, albeit in a lesser league, winning three, drawing one and losing one of their last five, sharing the same results in their home fixtures.

The Seagulls have won two and drawn three of their last five and won two, drawn two and lost one on their recent travels. Both sides are scoring plenty of late with seven and eight between them so we’re going with a Both Teams to Score pick to start us off.

Joao Pedro to have 2 or more Shots on Target

Joao Pedro came off the bench to score two goals in Brighton’s victory over Nottingham Forest over the weekend and he got two in that loss to AEK back in September. With Ansu Fati now out he’s likely going to be partnering Even Ferguson in attack.

With four goals over his Europa League games so far and averaging 2.3 shots per game we’re liking his odds here to land two on target.

Atalanta v Sporting Lisbon

Europa League
Gewiss Stadium, Bergamo

TV: TNT Sports

Both Teams to Score

Atalanta are all but through to the knockout stage of the Europa League but they’re going to want to stay on track to finish top of Group D here. The Italians have won five of their eight home games this season, drawing one and losing two, scoring 12 goals.

Sporting are in great form, winning four of their last five matches, scoring a mammoth 18 goals over their last five so you’d have to expect both teams to get on the scoresheet here.

TSC Backa Topola v West Ham

Europa League
TSC Arena, Backa Topola

TV: TNT Sports

West Ham -1

It’s between West Ham and Frieburg to finish top of the pile in Group A. As it stands the Hammers are on top thanks to goal difference and face a Backa Topola side who have lost three and drawn one in the Europa League this far.

David Moyes’ side have won four of their last five games, scoring 11 goals and should have more than enough to win against the Serbian club by two clear goals, especially since the hosts have failed to win any of their last five at home.

Freiburg v Olympiacos

Europa League
Europa-Park Stadion, Freiburg

TV: TNT Sports

Over 2.5 Goals

Olympiacos need a victory here if they’re to have any chance of qualifying, if they do so they’ll face Backa Topola next so will be aiming for a full six points. The hosts aren’t in great shape it must be said, winning just one of their last five fixtures, drawing two and losing two while at home have won two, drawn two and lost one, scoring 12 goals and conceding eight.

The Greek side have won three and lost two of their last five, while on their travels have won three, drawn one and lost one, scoring nine goals. A win for the hosts will see them through so we should see fireworks here. We’re backing Over 2.5 Goals.

HJK Helsinki v Aberdeen

Europa Conference League
Bolt Arena, Helsinki

TV: TNT Sports

Both Teams to Score

Neither side can make it through to the next stage of the Conference League so this one is all about not finishing bottom of Group G. The Scots are in the better form with two wins, two draws and one loss over their last five and on their travels have won two, drawn one and lost two.

HJK have drawn one and lost four of their last five fixtures while at home have won two and lost three, scoring eight and conceding six. While Aberdeen should take the three points here, the Dons have conceded 12 over their last five on the road so Both Teams to Score has the value for this one.
