Man City to win
Both these sides have secured a place in the knockouts, but with Pep Guardiola’s team just three points ahead of their opponents, with two games left to play, there’s still top spot to fight for.
Manchester City hold a three point lead, with that margin gained when they won at Leipzig back in October.
They’re the best team in Europe, playing at home, and have already beaten this team once in the group. It’s not the most exciting bet but it’s one that should come in.

When these two met in the reverse fixture it finished 3-1 the visitors, showing that Leipzig do have the ability to score across the treble winners.
In truth City haven’t been quite as dominant defensively as previously years, in fact they’ve allowed a goal in three of their four group games so far in Europe.
Domestically the Germans have bagged 29 goals in 12 games, so will be hopeful that they should be able to score against a City team who do give their opposition chances.

Erling Haaland to score
It’s hard to back a City win and not to whack in an Erling Haaland goal to boost the odds a little. He’s a Bet Builder staple for a reason and with four in four Champions League games, plus 14 in 13 in the Premier League this season, it’s obvious why.
In Europe he’s averaged six shots per game, and although that’s inflated by games against Young Boys, he will still have plenty of chances to score here.
Xaver Schlager to commit 1 or more fouls
The Austrian has been a key player for RB Leipzig this season. He anchors the midfield, often sitting deep, breaking up attacks before using his passing to propel the team forwards.
We’ll be backing Schlager to commit 1 or more fouls here. I’m confident in this landing given that he’s averaged 1.3 in the Champions League this season, as well as 1.4 in the Bundesliga and against a hugely talented City team he will be under real pressure.
Phil Foden to win 2 or more fouls
For the last couple of years it had felt like maybe Phil Foden hadn’t kicked on with his development but this year he seems to have taken another leap. He’s one of City’s key players and the opposition are well aware of it.
In the Premier League this season he’s been fouled on average 1.7 times per game, and we’ll be backing him to be fouled at least twice here.
He’s integral to City’s attacks and Leipzig will need to stop him if they’re to succeed in winning this game and potentially topping the group.
